My LO is 10 weeks and I’m hoping to increase my milk supply so I can exclusively breastfeed him (or at least combi feed with breast milk being given more).
Thing is he’s had to have more formula because I wasn’t producing enough milk initially. I’ve only recently done some more research into exclusively breast feeding and how to increase my milk supply.
What I’m asking is, is there anyone on here who’s tried to increase their milk supply from 10 weeks (having a limited supply beforehand and it work?) since 10pm on 01/06 to 830pm on 02/06 I’ve only expressed 100mls and I’ve found it quite deflating (I’ve been pumping every 3ish hours). Any advice would be helpful. Thanks x

Have you taken fenugreek supplements? It’s a herb and my milk supply was very low but then I took this and got up to 90% breast combo feeding for about 5 months. Paloma Faith swears by it.

Look up Lucy Webber feeding support on instagram. Also, don’t buy into the lactation cookies and things. See a lactation consultant! In short, best way to produce more, especially as a newborn mum, is to get baby to latch. How do you know you’re not producing enough? x

I have a similar issue. I am combi feeding (for weight gain and inefficient suckling of breast milk which tanked my supply) and want to give more expressed milk. I was at best producing 100ml a day total with 4/5 pumping sessions around 10-11weeks. At 12 weeks, I started pumping every 3 hours round the clock, with 2 of them being power pump sessions. It's been 1 week and I have reached over 200ml daily total and it is slowly climbing. Keep up the hydration and keep pumping to keep that demand going which will increase your supply. Quick massage before pumping, a few deep breaths to aid relaxation and let down. When you pump ensure your not in any pain, pumping harder isn't always necessarily more efficient
