Hi
I’m looking for some advice. Ever since my girls were born we have followed the routine they had when they got home from the nicu. They are currently 11 months and have the following routine.
6.30am - wake up 7oz bottle
8am - breakfast
9/10am - morning nap (this is variable these days they don’t always take it)
11.30/12 - lunch
12.30/1 - 2nd nap
2pm - 7oz bottle (not always finished)
3/4 - sometimes take a danger nap but will always be woken up after 20/30 mins
5pm - dinner
6.30/7 - bath (if they are really tired they have the earlier bath time) followed by a 7oz bottle and then bed.
If you had a routine of waking up at what point did you drop it and let them sleep longer in the morning? Did you drop the morning bottle if they slept longer and go straight to breakfast?
This morning they slept on until 7am and one has left 2oz from their bottle and the other left 3.5oz. This is has been like this the last couple of mornings so just wondering if anyone has any advice or can share their experiences 💓

We followed their lead with food but we’ve always been strict with sleep. I think we went to 1 nap at around 14/15 months which coincided with them walking a lot more etc so we did an outing or group in the morning, early lunch then nap for about 2hrs usually then bedtime at 7.
When we did 2 naps we did nap around 9-10.30 then 2.30-4 then bed at 7 still. Afternoon nap was always a nightmare for us as we had school run for older child!
We’re still strict with nap now at nearly 3- they have lunch then sleep 12.45-2. If they sleep any later they’re not tired for bed 🫣

Omg other parents just don’t get the twin parent schedule obsession do they!! We need it to survive! Mine are now 17m and we dropped to one nap around 14/15m but they have to have lunch early and in bed 12.30-3ish. Allows me to go out in the mornings, I get you the morning nap is nice when home to have a break but makes getting out the house hard. I think just before 12m they allowed me to go out without morning nap occasionally and they’d make up for it the next day or fall asleep v briefly in the buggy but I had to be out the house before they got too tired at 9.30 when they’d have their morning nap or getting in the car or buggy would be a drama! . Maybe you could trial it one day? See how it goes
