Has anyone had an umbilical hernia with their pregnancies and how was it/what did they do/did it change anything?
I think I have one (going to the dr today) and it constantly hurts but the nurse on the phone didn’t seem concerned.

I have it and had it with my last baby and I got an ultrasound with a different provider to check it out because I’m a nervous person. Essentially it’s yeah painful because there’s so much more pressure on it with baby, but they can do surgery if you want (probably after delivery) to close up the gap. It’s not a “problem” (other than being painful) as long as you can push your intestines back in. If you can’t, that means it is stuck and you have to go to the ER for surgery immediately. Mine usually hurts more if I have been standing or walking for awhile and it causes pressure, but if I just lay down for a few minutes on my side and push it back in, it feels better. It doesn’t hurt me when I’m not pregnant so I don’t do anything about it.
Note I have zero medical background, lol, this is just my experience.
