Hi everyone,
Currently my baby is sleeping from 7:30pm-6:00am and fusses from 1am-5am usually. We’ve tried doing overnight feeds and dropping them and nothing seems to work.
She’s already gotten pretty good at self soothing and usually needs a tiny bit of help from me to fall asleep. After 7:30pm, she practically takes herself to sleep lol
We’re also having a problem with extending naps. She can go two hours after her first morning bottle if I let her, but every other nap is max 45 minutes. Her wake window right now is 1h, and she’s pretty miserable the whole time if she only sleeps 45 minutes. Trying to get her to 90 minutes is near impossible because she goes into hysterics. During her naps, by the time she’s stirring and I make it to her room, she’s already fully awake and won’t go back to sleep.
How have you all been extending naps and stopping overnight fussing? She does use a pacifier but she’s not obsessed with it.

For us, long naps only happen when I am holding her. I believe it is very common at this age and should get better by about 6 months based on what I’ve been reading. Maybe take a look at the total number or hours she sleeps per day, average number of naps and see if it makes sense. Once I did that I realized she was having enough sleep overall despite some shorter naps.

she sleeps within the recommended range, she’s just miserable after a 30 minute nap and won’t stay up for longer than an hour 😭
