Hi all, my toddler was sitting in my lap and slid off and jammed her elbow into my pregnant belly on the way down. It hurt when it was happening but doesn’t hurt as much now. Should I be concerned/call my OB? Thank you!

You could ask OB just in case but when I asked my OB about a similar situation she said If no cramping/continued pain or bleeding baby is probably fine.

She assured me the baby has plenty of cushion in the womb

I don’t think you need to worry unless something feels off! I literally just had a car accident — the airbag hit my belly and the seatbelt tightened a lot… and the baby and I are totally fine haha

Uuugh, that sensation hurts so much! No issues though. I have a very whirlwind child that turns two on the 17th and he has accidentally elbowed my belly countless times.

I got smashed square in the belly by a football at 27 weeks pregnant (wrong place wrong time). I called the office and they told me to keep an eye out for visible bruising, cramping, bleeding, or decrease in fetal movement. Everything turned out fine. Worth a call just to be safe.
