I am pregnant with my 4th child and this has been one of the loneliest pregnancies I've ever had.
I have my immediate family support but that's about it. No one asks how I'm doing. I know I'm not getting any little gifts (not that that's important). I've been dealing with gender disappointment as well. It's just been a very depressing pregnancy.
We did not post anything on social media about the baby and only told family and people that were important to us. Which makes the loneliness worse.

I just announced to my family and IG last night. I feel you but it has been also nice not to hear so much unsolicited advice😂 is there a reason you all haven't announced to social media friends?

we told some of our closest friends. I don't want people's fakeness. Also, the people who matter are really the only ones who need to know.

I am wondering whether therapy and/or counselling might be helpful for you, especially in regards to helping you work through the gender disappointment?
Which gender were you hoping for? Will you have all four kids of the same gender? I have four kids and they’re all the same gender. I think it is actually relatively common that siblings are all of one gender

I appreciate the response. This was more just wanting to vent a bit. Personally, therapy and counseling is not something I will ever do. It's just not my thing and I don't need or want it.
I have had gender disappointment with all my children. This is something that is very common, even if people don't talk about it. I have my own ways of dealing with it.
I honestly have to disagree with siblings being all one gender as being common. We really have little control over what gender babies become, so either way you have a 50/50 chance every time.

I am glad you have your own way of dealing with the gender disappointment.
There is some evidence that some men are more likely to have boys and other men are more likely to have girls, so it’s not strictly a 50/50 chance each time (see source below)
