Yeah, had a few cramps recently, and left me with an ache. Been trying to stretch my calfs more. Really not fun

Reassuring to know I’m not alone, I’ll try keeping my leg raised , I have low blood pressure so think that may be something to do with it/dehydration or a combination of things , hope you’re keeping well

I had this. I got told it was restless leg syndrome and cramps in calf’s are normal! x

Wow, I feel for you! I had them throughout my last 3 months of pregnancy. Not fun! Try stretching, drinking plenty, those lucozade sports drinks can help! Elevate your legs when resting and keep moving. I used to launch myself out of bed and force myself to stand in order to pull the cramp out - I do not miss those days 😅

Yeah I have leg cramps tbh it’s pain but it goes away it’s like ahhhh in the moment then you can’t walk on it for a day but the day after it’s completely fine. I had a foot cramp like an hour and a half ago currently 29 weeks 😵‍💫 just don’t do any movements with your foot or legs that’s sudden and if you feel like your about to have a cramp you can get out of that position where it doesn’t happen and the feeling goes just quickly stand up if your about to have 1 and put your foot and leg down flat

I’m not in this group as I’m further along but this came up on my feed. I started getting this around the same time you are now, I started including hydration tablets and magnesium
Into my day and it really helped. I still have restless legs sometimes but the cramping has stopped.
I will say that for peace of mind you should check with your GP first when it comes to brands and quantities etc. A friend of mine suggested a brand she used and when I checked with my GP they said it was almost double the recommenced dose in pregnancy and so they gave me a dosage that was safe.
Also check hydration tablets because some have additional vitamins and aren’t safe In pregnancy.
Hope that helps xx

I did have these, I’m 30 weeks pregnant but I’ve been taking magnesium now for a few weeks and not had any since! X

High5 Zero electrolyte tablets are safe for pregnancy and helped me with calf cramps. Also I was advised to get someone if possible to do a very firm sports massage from the ankle up each evening before bed - my partner does it for me and although it's painful it has practically eliminated the cramps (I went away with family for a few days without him and got the cramps back instantly!!)

If there's not someone available for this, use a tennis ball or foam roller on them and someone also recommended putting a metal water bottle in the freezer and using that as a roller as well

I had this and was prescribed vitamin D/ calcium as this apparently helps prevent cramps

I also experience this. Mainly in the evenings when in bed etc super painful 🤯 x

I had these too! I’ve been having a banana everyday and making sure I drink plenty. Since I’ve been doing this I havent had anymore. I bought a drinks bottle from B&M and its now a habit to drink about 4/5 bottles a day. It seems to have helped me!

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Invited to a chuckie cheese party but I don't have money and don't want to tell my daughter that's why we can't go. Does anyone know how their parties work?

I'm not sure how chuckie cheese parties are. If they give you money to play or not if you're in the party. And then I'm wondering if it's an actual birthday party or if they're just going to chuckie cheese. Some guy in my building told me a couple weeks ago that his son's birthday is today and he's thinking of doing chuckie cheese. They sent an invite but I feel so insecure not being able to afford anything. Like if they don't have food for example. Idk what to do.

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!

Owlet

Anyone else’s owlet driving them mad?? It goes off 5/6 times night saying it can’t get a reading and needs a snug fit. My baby is 8 months old so moves a lot. It is driving me insane and I keep end up taking it off! Anyone had similar issues?
