Nursery sessions, 30 hours, am I right?

So my child gets the 30 hours next month, he already does 2 full days at nursery but will be doing 2 extra mornings when the funding increases. Anyway, was sorting this out with the lady there and she said that the funding only covers 6 sessions and any more I have to pay privately. I didn’t think too much of it as it sounded right but then I worked it out once I got home that a session is only 3 hours and 45 minutes, so 4 mornings and 2 afternoons is 22 and a half hours. The lunch break is £10.50 for the hour which isn’t included in a session but even if it was then that’d only be 2 hours. So surely I still have 7 and a half hours that I can use? Or have I got this completely wrong? Thanks!

It depends if they stretch them over the year if they're open all year round because the government funding only applies 38 weeks of the year so if they stretch it, it usually works out to 22hrs a week

As above, if stretched across the whole year it’s 22h, which would be right from what you’ve said here.
But even if that’s not what they’re doing, it’s up to the nursery how they apply their funding, they can do what they like really - it’s not a case of you being able to claim every single hour of funding if that’s not how the nursery offer it, unfortunately!

It’s 30 funded hours, not 30 free hours, like above it’s depends how they are sorting them for the year and depends on their actual costs. If you need more sessions then ask if you can have anymore with your funding without paying xx

I didn’t think of the 38 weeks so that makes sense! I send him all year round due to work so that’d be why! Thanks for the replies 🙂

Has anyone else had issues with their friends that aren't pregnant or have kids?

I have a friend at work and we've become really close over the years. But ever since I become pregnant she just doesn't understand anything I'm going through which is fine except for the fact that the past few days I have been exhausted physically and socially. We have been helping another friend out for about a month now and we've had to keep him entertained as he's going through a rough time right now and it's drained me socially . my friend at work is frustrated because I'm not talking a lot and I'm exhausted and she doesn't understand why and I'm just curious if anybody else has had issues with friends that are not going to the same thing or have gone through the same thing as you connecting with you because she's literally mad at me. She stopped talking to me at work today and I just don't understand what to do.

Saw an interesting video and I’d love to hear everyone’s thoughts on this topic!

So std rates are at an all time high as we all know. Do you think the mindset that body count doesn’t matter has contributed to the significant increase of STDs and HIV?

Secondly if someone says that body count doesn’t matter do you believe they are less likely to practice safe sex compared to people who believe in more traditional values?

It’s her fault for not taking their morning after pill.
He tells her straight up that he’s not going to be involved and that she should terminate it.
She says that she won’t terminate and she hopes that he does stick around

So she deliberately gets pregnant, basically traps him
