Unhappy baby

Does anyone else have a baby that just seems angry like 80% of the time? He doesn’t wake up smiling, but give him 10 minutes then he will (I’m the same tbf) he then just makes moaning noises, all day. We do get smiles throughout the day but he makes sure we work for them.. the only time the moaning noises stop are when we are out or if he’s being held and walked around.. but we can’t just hold him while sitting down.

Over the last few days we have started BLW because I wondered whether he was still hungry, although he feeds before and after naps still and occasionally in between. Now once he has eaten some food he gets really unhappy too! 🤦🏽‍♀️

I’m just spending sooo much time doubting myself right now and whether something is generally wrong or whether I just have a really angry boy! I see all the posts and things everywhere of everyone’s babies so happy but I’ve just never known one to get as angry as mine seems to!

You have literally just described my baby. I have been to the GP 6x and to the hospital 3x as I thought something was wrong too. I’ve been told it was colic, reflux, CMPA, teething and now reflux again. But from the moment he wakes up after his naps he’s just so unhappy and will scream the house down. We might get 10 minutes or so where he is smiling or laughing but then he will instantly go back to being unhappy again. It’s absolutely draining 🫩

it’s so hard, I’ve tried to express this before and I was told he had infant dyschezia, teething and colic.. but he’s 6 months next week should it be getting better? He does have 3 teeth and these are all back teeth too but that started at 2 months old. He doesn’t properly cry often it’s more of a shout and he literally grabs himself or us and gets really frustrated.. he’s doing so well developmentally, almost crawling but I wonder if that plays a part in it 🤦🏽‍♀️ I just honestly don’t know!x

Yes it is really, I honestly know how you feel. I’ve had this for 3 months now. I had to move in with my mum because I just can’t do it on my own, and to make things harder he will only contact nap and co sleep too, so my life has become holding him 24/7 because soon as we put him down he’ll just cry hysterically until he’s picked up again. He’s teething but no teeth have come through yet, he’s 5 months but 3 months corrected as he was 10 weeks early. I just keep thinking once he reaches 6 months he will grow out of it but I don’t know if it’ll be his 6 months actual age or 6 months corrected which will be around December time 🫩 xx

Do you feel you have bonded with your baby/ feel attached?
Eg can instinctively respond to their needs or anticipate what they might need before it gets too late?
It might be linked with wanting attention = connection / attachment

Post partum dad

I have a 2 month old. A few weeks ago my husband crashed out because he didn't feel like he was getting to bond with her. I started exclusively breastfeeding around that time and honestly didnt see the big deal. Baby and I left for a few days and when we got back home, everything was fine. He was extremely hands-on. He helped with my meals, her bedtime, bath, stories.....for a few weeks it was great. Then he randomly sounds depressed af. He says our lo is better off without him, he wants to sleep all day , he asks me not to watch tv then tried playing a video game. He refused to reply to me when i asked any follow-up questions. Then he woke up our baby trying to race me to the bathroom first thing in the morning . He's doing a weird mix of crying, trying, and giving up. Im starting to feel like I cant handle him not being able to handle life with baby and just want to be alone. Are there resources for men?

My friend is over from another country but I don't feel like leaving the house

One of my old friend's is visiting where I currently live and we agreed to meet up today but I feel so tired and exhausted from everything that's been going on with me. I feel if I meet her I'm going to end up having another breakdown from the exhaustion which I have been having often. I'm just thinking about how I need to rest to be able to deal with my toddler and go back to work on Monday without feeling like I need another weekend. I'm torn on what to do so I need you guys to help me decide

Weaning

Hello mamas, could I get some advice please with how and what to wean as started this week with my baby but not really what to give and when what time day. Have started with puree vegetables and making them myself and offering it in the evening to my baby but she tends to get irritated and tired and has a few spoonfulls and then gives up and has a meltdown. So I’m questioning myself am I feeding her wrong time of day and what’s best to mix the food with milk or baby rice please.

Do I need to pay anything when my child starts school in September

I'm a new mum and obviously didn't grow up in the uk. I currently pay roughly £640 for nursery fees. I'm wondering if my expenses will reduce when my LO starts school or there'll be other expenses (besides bags, uniform etc) will my expenses be anywhere close to £600 monthly?

People telling you your baby is hungry..

I know people don’t always mean it in a bad way and are trying to relate, but when people say my baby is hungry when chewing his hands. I feed him regularly. He eats pretty much every 2 hours. He isn’t hungry, he just loves chewing and exploring his hands. Or they say something about teething, which it is also not, as he isn’t unsettled with it. I have looked into it myself and can be common and neither of those things! He has done it most of the day since 2 months old.
