It can really lonely. My husband and I moved to a new state right before we got pregnant. I haven’t really made any friends where we are, just a weird transitional stage of life to have just moved to a new place.
I feel that talking to only the baby thing deeply lol.
I’m trying to go on friendship dates through this app more. Even if it’s just meeting someone one time, at least me and baby are getting out and interacting with another adult.
I also try to make it a point to send voice memos or videos to friends/family at least once a week. Sometimes it’s me and baby but mostly it’s just me asking how the person is doing and giving a life update. It helps me stay sane!
Hang in there! It won’t be this way forever 💕

Not the only one. All the grandparents work. Not that I need someone to always watch the kiddo. But I wish I could pick up and visit my mom. But they also still have my brother in high school. So they stay busy. My best friend has 6 kids and any other friends live hours away. Husband is gone 14 hours a day. Pretty pretty lonely.

95% of all moms are lonely lol

Yes it’s extremely lonely. Two years pp and there’s this numbness in me and I feel so lonely even if I am surrounded by people who care. Because like you said, they are there for the baby. Not me. Plus as a mum you want to talk about your experience and struggle and people are not always up for conversations like that.
But honestly I am also in the stage where I am slightly trying to dress up better and feel good.

Yep, sad truth. Our kids and most of us- our husbands are our only friends. A lot of “friends” are out being single or doing single stuff even if they have kiddos. We’re home with our kiddos trying to do family stuff.
