Severe anger 1 year post partum

I'm really scared. I've just become so angry....I'm a nightmare to be around these days.
I know I'm sleep deprived as my 12 month old is still up every 2 hours.
He won't let me do anything without crying to be picked up.
I'm trying to work 14 hours a week without any childcare and my job is piling on work so I'm ending up feeling I should be doing more hours when I can't even meet my current requirements (I work from home)
I'm trying to help my hoarder mum sort her house out so it's more hospitable for my little one to be in while she barely lifts a finger. She is my only village though and I need her to have him sometimes so I can work.
I'm trying to reduce my Sertraline from 125mg down to 100mg if that makes any difference?
But I'm just SO low and angry now.
What can I do? I'm only facing the same issues that every other mum is facing for the most part.

Do you have a least a village? That might help you..
I understand you I was kinda like that before (on and off now) i realized because I was feeling suffocated. I didn’t have enough sleep and no one to help me everyday the same routine so stuck..
meeting some other moms helped me a bit.. check or watch closely what is my baby needs helped me too

Why are you reducing sertraline? That could definitely play a part.

Have you tried joining any local groups on here to see if you can make friends to offload every so often. It sounds like you're in a tough spot, I'm sorry you're going through this.

Have you considered co-sleeping? My son and I do. I don't particularly enjoy it... but he no longer wakes up at 4am 🫩

Go to your OBGYN. Do a FULL PANEL blood test. Check especially for your vitamin D levels, estrogen, progesterone. At 1year PP your body is still very much in the healing process and you may have some deficiencies that affect your mood.

Magnesium glycinate can also help with your sleep quality and overall energy moods even if you keep waking up due to your baby.

I highly recommend looking into sleep training. No I’m not talking about the crying out method that is not sleep training. There are many sleep, training methods that are evidence based, have a soft approach, and can help you regulate your baby sleep. Sometimes having the right wake up time, right nap time, and bedtime is what makes the difference in your baby sleeping the whole night.

Postpartum.net is also a great resource for moms struggling with their moods as well and so much more!

That is a huge deal according to my experience..

If your mental health needs medication then your partner should be supporting you, not making you feel bad. The anger? Its anxiety and depression because your plate is so full and you are not feeling fulfilled in a lot of parts of your life (and thats not your fault!) Plus being sleep deprived on top of everything, makes coping so much harder. Think about how children are miserable when they are tired. Our bodies are too but we have to keep going. You are angry because you don't have the proper support you need. 🙁 I'm sorry you're going through this

On top of everything else, becoming a mum comes with so much hormonal changes that add to the whole situation - try to give yourself some grace - you're doing a lot.
Balancing being a mum and working is also no joke - I get the struggle to try and balance it all, but we're only human ❤️

He has no respect for anything to do with me.

Husband and I decided to separate 3 days ago. I've been sleeping on the floor in the kids room, and we both have to stay in the same apartment for a while. He wont stop pushing little things and I am reaching my limit. Photos in comments

Toddlers

How often are your toddlers asking for food? My oldest who is 3 just finished a whole plate of food and not even 10 minutes later he’s requesting more food. I know he’s going through a growth spurt, but how do you respond to this.

Is this normal?

Is it just my husband that does this? He is able to work from home via his computer and in the mornings and evenings he is on there doing his job. When he is done for the day he tends to stay in the room and either play video games or watch something. He will occasionally come out and play with the girls for a few minutes and that’s it but when I really need him he says he is busy. My daughters are both 1 year old now and I am just wondering how much involvement should he have with them now?
Idk if this is the norm or not…..

Identity crisis?

Am I the only sahm who feels like they have lost their identity??? I don’t make money for my family, when I used to make great money. But I refuse to drop my under a year old baby off with strangers.
My husband works so much. But I have no control over bringing in money and I’m a control freak type of person! I feel l like I’m losing my grip because we are kind of broke, but day care would only eat up my income anyways! So what’s the point. I’m a workaholic and now I’m just a twitching bum.
I wish I could work from home but so far that’s a fake dream. I’m almost 9 months pp, and I just need to know these awful mood swings and depression will end soon! Send wine!

Saying NO to buying toys etc

5 year old is getting really envious of others. He is obsessed with items that other kids have at school. I am pestered daily to buy these things in a different style when we already have 3 others. I have seen parents just buying stuff their kid likes which I don't necessarily agree with even when i can afford it. How do you deal with it?
