Can anyone confirm if this is OK to feed 7 month old?
Both me and baby's dad are not fish eaters at all, but don't want to push our preferences onto the baby especially when it can be good for them.
I can't stand the smell and the thought of fresh fish in my fridge absolutely disgusts me

I'm not shaming anybody that does, but I wouldn't eat that personally and wouldn't give to a baby due to the added salt etc.
Your little one is only 7 months, there's amble time to try everything.
It is not just different types of frozen fish? Like chunks of...

Not sure but watch out for how many times you offer fish a week, shouldn’t be more than twice due to high potassium levels (not a fish eater myself and had no idea) !x

I mean it isn’t the end of the world to introduce, but wouldn’t be the most healthiest of choices - I personally would try fresh salmon and cod!
My girl loves a bit of salmon as well as fish fingers - she is a little older and will happily feed herself finger foods though so that may have influence to it x

It looks like it’s just frozen chunks of fish? I personally don’t see the problem with it and would give it to my kids xx

You can always start with a pouch for this. I am sure Ella's kitchen do fish ones. That way you don't have to cook the fish just yet. But I would opt for fresh over frozen personally.

It’s just frozen fish, I don’t see why it wouldn’t be okay. Just check ingredients that there isn’t anything added, especially salt.
Also if you guys don’t eat fish yourself, frozen is good as you can just take out small pieces and expose him to different kinds of fish/ flavours.
Tinned tuna or salmon might be an easier option too (in water not brine)

It’s absolutely fine to use plain frozen fish fillets or chunks. However you may want to start off with bags of one particular fish type frozen. Fish pie usually has some smoked fish in there as well which has a strong flavour, perhaps see if they do a bag of frozen cod or haddock for plain white fish and then frozen salmon for oily omega 3s x

Fish pie mix will most likely have smoked fish in which might be a bit intense for a baby and also may contain added salt from the process - I think frozen fish would be fine but I’d maybe try going for just one type of fish at a time eg cod or salmon rather than a mix as such and just make sure it’s purely raw fish that hasn’t gone through a process like smoking
(As I typed this just saw Beth had written the same!)

I made some salmon fishcakes for my boy and he loves them!
You could also do tuna 🙂
If you and your partner aren't fish eaters I wouldn't go to the effort of making a big fish pie!
Just buy a little portion of fish, or tinned fish even 😊

We introduced salmon with Hipp’s salmon puree 60 days after we started weaning - after introducing turkey, rabbit, chicken, and beef. Baby wasn’t too impressed with it 😅 I’ll ask the pediatrician about it because he needs the omegas from it. 🤷♀️

I've used this to make my 7 month old chowder from the what mummy makes book and she likes it. Been no issues.
