I assume your baby has some symptoms you're concerned about at the moment? I am a breastfeeding counsellor and a cmpa mum. Happy to help with any questions.

⬆️ charlotte seems like the best resource! my experience, my baby didn’t do well with dairy when she was a newborn. when i cut dairy she was much less fussy and spit up noticeably less. after i cut dairy i had given her previously pumped milk that had dairy in it, and she immediately started spitting up a LOT and was visibly uncomfortable (arching her back, fussy, wiggly, hard to settle). just my experience!

hi Charlotte, my little boy is 10 weeks and I’ve been back and forth with him to different professionals since 3 weeks. He’s got mucousy poo’s, generallly a fussy and uncomfortable baby this can be better some days then terrible others, he was struggling with reflux but this has gotten better to be fair, he sounds like he’s got a nose full of snot at night. I think I’ve been waiting for something to get better and him grow out of stuff but it’s the mucous in his poo that bothers me, it’s been there consistently it doesn’t come and go like he’s got a cold! He’s has a tongue tie cut at 4 weeks, his latch is quite shallow tbh but I try to get him to do better with that! X

thank you!! Did you notice some differences within days or was it longer? X

Hi Heather, it may be due to his latch and the tongue tie tbh. Shallow latch/taking in air, can cause these symptoms. Although the congestion may suggest something elsethis can be a side effect of the reflux. Trying to focus on a nice deep latch either way would be a good start. Have you heard of or tried the "flipple"?
You obviously could try cutting our dairy and see if you get any changes, but the advice is actually not to do so too hastily. For some, cutting the top of the milk ladder, like yogurt, cream, cheese, milk is enough to see improvement. I'll link a couple of webpages for you.
