Our baby currently wakes constantly throughout the night, he will only need a feed once usually, but the rest of the time he’s stirring/startling himself/needs a dummy and hand hold/hand on chest to get back off. We are up at least 5 times a night, if not more.
We are going to speak to sleep consultants but does anyone have tips in the meantime to keep him asleep? He tries to self settle some of the time but will just toss and turn more often than not and be unsuccessful. How do we get him to self settle if he does wake?
We are going to put him in his cot tomorrow for the first night time ever and hope that helps him maybe.
I’m desperate for proper sleep 😭 ps. He only cat naps for 30 mins max in the day time (x4) so he surely is tired at bed time! He also has 3 hr wake window before bed time.

Is he rolling yet?
My boy used to be exactly like this until he discovered sleeping on his tummy! He'll now pretty much sleep all through the night, no feeds, just the occasional wake up for the dummy!
Obviously every baby is different and yours might not like being on his tummy... But if he does, it's worth a try!

yes but doesn’t ever roll in his next2me (think it’s too small for him to) but he sleeps on his side which is a new thing. I wonder if he goes jnto his cot tonight if he’ll try go onto his front. A bit nervous for that but maybe it will help!

I know, I was terrified when mine started sleeping on his front, I didn't sleep for weeks 🙈 he's in his big cot now though.
I think as long as you know your baby can lift their head up properly and has a good strong neck, they'll always move their head when they need to.
It's scary but I'm just happy he is sleeping now!
