Choking

I’ve been giving my LO purées as well as BLW she’s tried assorts like broccoli carrots etc but today she had watermelon it was cut into large fingers with no seeds and she bit some off and started choking, I’m a bit shook up by it and feeling scared to try her with anything other than puree now! Has anyone got any tips or advice for baby led weening and them bitting and chewing, I’m petrified it will happen again!

Pooping in a potty

Last night while playing and having some nakey time without a nappy on my little girl who’s just turned 2 said “I want my potty” so I told her to go get it. She bought her potty into her bed room, sat down and went poop. I was shocked because she’s only been playing with the potty up-to now, she’s never done a wee in it and if anything she usually would get nervous whilst sitting on it as I think she was worried she wasn’t aloud to do a wee or poop despite my encouragement.

It’s has been sat in my bathroom for weeks not being looked it never mind used, so for her to actively go fetch it as she wanted a poop AND use it correctly, I’m shocked! 🤯

I gave her loads of praise, big smiles but she looked worried she’d done a “stinky” on the potty and was upset. Yet she’s the one who wanted to do it??? Im confused what to do about it. Personally I don’t think she’s ready to start potty training but the kid just independently took herself off to use it so perhaps I’m wrong?

How would you play these next steps? Or would you do nothing as it might have been just a one off?

Apart from circumstances where the child isn’t able to be, it is unacceptable for a 3 year old to not be potty trained.

Unless your child has SEND, it is 100% just LAZY parenting.

Autism parents did your child go to nursery or pre school?

So my little guy is 24 months and very speech delayed and displaying way above average levels of clinging and refusal to leave my side around other people and children. He cries his eyes out if I make him go to playgroup or softplay. Occasionally he will calm down and start enjoying if its not too busy but only if I am glued to him.
Im being pushed to get him in nursery and I keep being told he'll love it eventually. My fear is that time between now and "eventually"...he is incredibly distressed around everyone except me, his dad and my mum. He is the only child ive seen who can't even stand to be near another child without melting down.
If I force him into nursery im worried ill be pushing him too hard and traumatising him at this point. Other people don't understand the extent of his anxiety...

Baby fell off couch

my husband was supposed to be watching the baby so i could sleep in the morning and he set the baby 7 weeks old on the couch while he went to the restroom, well baby wiggled off and fell face first ☹️ i woke up to the crying we both ran to see he was laying face down on the tile floor and we rushed to the hospital they did X rays and they said nothing is wrong internally he just has a bruise on his forehead and bruised nose. IM SO HEARTBROKEN. we’re home now and baby is acting normally but i just feel like the worst parents ever. did this happen to anyone else ever or are we really the worst?? and is it likely he could get a long term disability from this ? has it happened to anyone else? also yes i’m very angry at my husband, i never leave the baby unsupervised. if something worse was wrong with the baby i was seriously considering divorce while sitting in the hospital room!

Activity ideas for 1yo and 3yr olds

I'm struggling. I take my boys outside every single day but they're still so full of energy. They don't stay very busy inside and I can't get much done. What are some activities or toys that keep your kids busy around these ages? We read books daily and they like to pretend to "clean" lately but im looking for other ideas please!
