Waking for feeds at night

Baby is now 2 weeks and was back to birth weight on day 10. The midwife said experiment if he can sleep a litter longer with feeds. (At night only I’m talking about)

What is everyone in the same position doing? I’m waking him at 2am but he does not go back to sleep after so I’m thinking just wait and see when he wakes?

I feed on demand, so only when I hear her wake. For me, I’ve found it’s better to get up & feed her when she stirs, rather than cry’s - as then she goes back to sleep a lot easier afterwards.

Yer, at night we only feed when she wakes, or at least stirs. Tonight she slept from 1am till 6am so got kinda dream fed, burped and is now back on my chest pretty much still asleep

I’m exclusively breastfeeding and baby girl was above her birth weight from day 5 hers never dropped. From day 5 midwife told me to feed on demand. I’ve been feeding on demand and if I notice it is getting close to 3.5-4 hours will wake her up to feed because the gap in between this young shouldn’t be more than 4 hours I’ve been advised. Right now she is going through a growth spurt so she will wake herself up at 12/1 and be up until 4-5 cluster feeding. Before I’d wake her up at 3 and change and feed her and she would fall asleep nursing so I think definitely feeding before they’re full blown crying will help with settling them to sleep a little quicker

My girl is just shy of three weeks and the last couple of nights I’ve let her dictate when she wants feeding. She rarely goes beyond 4 hours between but I don’t wake her at night anymore. It seems to be working, I’m getting a little more sleep and she is far happier than she was being woken up 🤷‍♀️

My 3 week old is waking himself up for feeds which he has done since 2 weeks old, occasionally I will need to wake him for feeds as it gets a bit close to 4 hours but he seems a lot more settled as when I was waking him up he was only taking a small amount and waking up hungry an hour later!!

After 2 weeks I sacked the 3hr alarms once she was well over birth weight. Now I just feed when she’s hungry usually she won’t go past 4/5hrs without being hungry !

Hi ya'll

Is anyone else's 4 month old randomly screeching now? I'm not sure what to do and she's been doing this for the past two days. She's usually a quiet happy baby so im not sure why she's doing this now. Aby suggestions?

Breastfeeding

Does it ever feel better? The actual feeding part of it is going really well and baby boy is growing so well. I’m struggling with how my boobs feel day to day - it’s really getting me down most days. The let downs make me feel awful and sounds silly but, I am also really missing not wearing a bra! 9 weeks postpartum and still getting fairly engorged, even with comfort pumping.

Any advice or just shared stories would help. I’m so torn between carrying on because I enjoy the feeding side of it or switching to formula.

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Big nursing bras!

I’m looking for recommendations for good nursing bras for bigger breasted ladies!

I’m currently in a 38H which seems to be the biggest size done at M&S (UK based mama here) and it’s snug and not as supportive as I’d like. When I look online, they mainly seem to be sized S, M, L, XL etc rather than bra sizes.

Any recommendations please?

Strange question

Hello. I would identify myself as asexual but yes i am married and i have a child. But now that ive had my baby. I think its solidified that im done having sex. I feel bad as my partner keeps asking me but i just dont want to. Any advice on what i can do? Any other asexual moms out there? I guess this could be confusing but im not huge on being bound by a label. I have just always felt it represented me best since highschool.
