I decided to do a ‘mummy mot’ with a physio today who specialises in c section recovery and scar healing. I wasn’t sure what it would involve but was so surprised at what they could tell about my recovery, how my incision infection had impacted recovery internally, how far apart my abdominal muscles were and a specific recovery plan to help me.
If anyone is considering doing a ‘mummy mot’ or having some abdominal weakness or scar issues post c section I would absolutely advocate to see a physio who specialises in women’s health and postpartum recovery.

U shudnt have to though our nhs shud cover this they let people get infected and dont do proper afger care u go home after 2 days and inject ur own stomach for 7 days. U used to stay in 2 weeks. Now its in and out and then if u ask them anything they dont show any interest in wat u say.

Hey, I’ve been wondering about mummy MOT too! I had an emergency c section and an infection. I’m really worrying about the recovery as my lower abdomen is still really hard and distended 3.5 months PPT :(
Any advice would be much appreciated x
