Fibro or folate?

I’ve been having fibromyalgia symptoms since 5 months pregnant I am now 8 months pp. I was with physio, and they sent me back to my gp saying it could be a chronic illness
Got a blood test and they’re saying my folate is low and to take 5mg for 4 months
But I really feel like it’s fibro, the fibro fog, inability to move when I flare up, fatigue, extreme pain etc.

Is there any advice anyone can give, is it folate deficiency or is it the doctors trying to just not diagnose with fibro?!
Thank you

I don’t know what folate is, but I share all of the symptoms you’re describing as a woman with fibro. Pregnancy can trigger it, so I would recommend seeing a rheumatologist. No one would diagnose me with anything other than female hysteria until I’d seen a rheumatologist. What I advise you to do to manage the pain is physical activity. It’s VERY HARD to get out of bed and do that, but it will slowly exacerbate until you are begging for the sweet release of death if you do not allow your body movement and strengthening.

I hope you find some relief soon 💕

Do what the doctors say first, there's a lot of illness with similar symptoms to fibromyalgia & chronic fatigue syndrome & it's only fibromyalgia if it's nothing else.
& Kiki is right, as hard as it is maintain some level of activity as the more you rest the more the body atrophies and the more the pain increases & makes it even harder to get up & do things. The more you consistently do the more you'll be able to do. Keep exercise moderate not vigorous though, a walk around the block, or just down the street & back.

Rule out everything else first because when u have that fibro diagnosis then everything gets blamed on that even if u feel something else is going on. Gentle movement like walking and pilates helps me and pace yourself. Look up the spoon theory it will help with understanding how to manage energy levels

Induction?

Anyone been induced before? Was it more painful? Better than thought? Worse than thought? Worth it? Thoughts?

Induction or c section?

As a last resort, would you rather be induced or have a planned c section?

Really not liking the thought of being induced from people’s experiences I’ve read!

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Homebirth?

I am thinking I want a homebirth (second baby) for a few different reasons but my husband is very against it, he is worried about things going wrong and we are a 30 minute drive from the hospital. Has anyone been in a similar position and what did you end up doing? Any advice? 🙏
