So since I had my baby a few weeks ago my partner has taken quite a liking to me again🤣 throughout my pregnancy we probably only had sex 3-4 times due to the fact I wasn’t really up for it & my partner honestly admits he although he loves me dearly he just doesn’t get turned on at the thought of having sex with a pregnant lady… each to their own I appreciate his honesty and we’ve been together long enough for no offence to be taken😄. In saying that, almost immediately after giving birth he’s on me like a dog on heat. If he could he would’ve had me straight away, admittedly I can’t wait to get a little bit closer with him after such a long time but as I’m only 4 weeks pp I don’t want to risk any infection so sex is off the table until I’ve had my check up. Does foreplay come under the same category, are we allowed some kind of fun?…let me know your stories lol

i think i had sex once during pregnancy maybe twice and i only just had it a couple days ago and im nearly 9 weeks postpartum don’t get to overwhelmed by it!

You're advised to leave it at least 6 weeks (I think) because of the risk of infection but there's no reason you can't do stuff that doesn't involve penetration!

When you stop bleeding usually around 4-8 weeks pp the risk for infection is low so you’re good to go. I personally was stitched up and couldn’t feel inside my coochie until 4 months pp

Any sort of penetration marginally puts you at risk of infection until the 6 week mark while your placenta wound heals as it leaves you with a wound the size of a dinner plate that is vulnerable to infection if toys, fingers or anything else is introduced vaginally.
When you do get the go ahead, plenty of foreplay, water based lubricant and be prepared for it to feel different and possibly still uncomfortable. It’s worth having a conversation beforehand so you are both on the same page and keep communicating when things do happen as you might feel ready to start something but not finish it. You may also find some positions are more comfortable than others
