Did you pay for any private maternity or postnatal services outside the NHS?

I'm thinking of hiring a postnatal midwife for at-home visits and possibly one for the birth, but I'm concerned about the cost. Did you choose to pay for any extra support outside the NHS, and was it worth it for you?

I will also be paying for a NIPT and 3rd trimester scan, costs are adding up.

Missing my partner even though he’s right there 🥹

Has anyone else felt like this?
He has 4 weeks off work with me and baby, we’re just over half way through and have spent all our time together so far and I still have this feeling of missing him.
Baby is breastfed and is cluster feeding at the minute, we love our little boy so much but I feel a little stuck under him at times.
My partner and I are over 3 years in and have always been obsessed with eachother, baby was planned and is so loved but it’s a big adjustment isn’t it 🥹🩵

What do you spend on food a month!? Family of 3

Hello, me and my partner are spending a lot on our food shop considering we use a lot of beans and pulses over fresh meat and cook from scratch to keep the cost down. But we are still spending so much and we can't figure out why it's such a high cost still. We are a family of 3.

I truly see now why people get divorced after having a baby. I wish guys knew and understood what we got through physically, mentally and emotionally to bring a human into this world and then having to deal with a newborn

Discrimation at work due to pregnancy

Hi all, I have been facing discrimation at work after I told my manager I am pregnant and that I am going on a leave for 1 year.

Manager told me that he wants to get on a call with HR. I had no idea what to expect. Manager and HR and get on a call and they suddenly tell me out of nowhere that they think I am not performing well and that they would like to put me on a PIP. HR also gave me an alternative option of an exit package.

This is clear discrimination on the basis of pregnancy.

Does anyone know what the highest out-of-court settlement or exit package payout a company has ever made to do a UK-based employee to resolve an employment dispute?

Its a very clear case of employement discrimation (backed with evidence), and it seems like under Equality Act 2010 - race, sex, disability, age, religion or belief, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, marriage, pregnancy/maternity - plus harassment and victimisation tied to those, doesnt have uncapped claims today.

But Why?

I thought this app was for moms to connect and chat. I seen nothing but BORING and UNINTELLIGENT women. Bashing and hatred. Where is the love????
