I have been a stay at home for 4 years.

The expiration date is whenever you feel called to stop š¤·š»āāļø (if financially possible of course)
Iāve been a sahm for only 4 yearsā¦but I believe itās not good for people to be idle. (Not just me, itās a scientific fact of longevity that people with purpose live longer.)
When kids are young your work is cut out for you, but as I get older I hope to help in our community, finish writing my book, etc etc. If I start to feel idle Iāll go back to work.

Iāve been a sahm for 6yrs but I go to church 1-2* times a week during the day coz I volunteer in the decor team (setting up for events) and I have a hobby that I to go twice a week at night which hubby does bedtime when I go so Iām a sahm but my life is not only sahm like I have my own life alongside motherhood too which keeps me sane. Tonight actually, in an hr Iāll be having a shower dress up a lil getting ready for my dance classes, every Friday.

In a perfect world, i would like to be sahm until my kids are in school, but financially, I can't do that. So, for now, i'm going until my newborn sleeps through the night. I dont want to be constantly sleep deprived when I decide to go back to work. And even then, I will only go part-time cause my oldest is only in preschool for 6 hours, so I have to be able to pick him up and drop him off. And I would rather my newborn not be in daycare all day. 6 hours of daycare a day is still more than i'm comfortable with, but I gotta do what I gotta do.
