My 18 month old was still breast-feeding all night long and to get to sleep. Last weekend we just started weaning for night feeds. First I solely started with just focusing on the breast-feeding to fall asleep at bedtime. It took about three nights until he didn’t cry anymore. I still laid in bed with him the entire time until he fell asleep and found some bedtime nursery songs to listen to until he falls asleep. We do that every night now with the same songs.

Once he got the hang of not having one feed, I extended it to the next and the next and so on. last night was our second night of no feeds. At the 4 AM mark he is still pretty cranky that he doesn’t get milk, but he finds a spot to snuggle with me and he falls back to sleep shortly after.

Long, lol, but this has seemed to work for me. I was very nervous about weaning, and wasn’t about doing the cry it out method. Hope this helps! You got this!

I was nighttime feeding my 18 month old but I went away for 2 nights to break the cycle & dad got in bed with him, he said it was a nightmare first night but as he didn’t see me the next day he said he oaky the 2nd night. Dad carried on sleeping with him for another 2 nights when I was home and now I’m back in bed with him and doesn’t ask for it until 6am. He goes to bed with a bottle of cows milk now. We get up as soon as he asks and make him breakfast xxx

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

Hi ya'll

Is anyone else's 4 month old randomly screeching now? I'm not sure what to do and she's been doing this for the past two days. She's usually a quiet happy baby so im not sure why she's doing this now. Aby suggestions?

Baby losing weight

Hi all, it's been a long time since I had a baby (my son is 15!). My daughter is 10 days old and was 9lb born, she has since lost weight at every appointment and is at a 12% loss. I am breast feeding every two hours for over an hour and topping her up every feed. I pump and can get 60ml in 10 minutes so I know my supply is okay. Anyone had this before? Can give me some tips? I currently feel like I'm letting my baby down.

Breastfeeding

Does it ever feel better? The actual feeding part of it is going really well and baby boy is growing so well. I’m struggling with how my boobs feel day to day - it’s really getting me down most days. The let downs make me feel awful and sounds silly but, I am also really missing not wearing a bra! 9 weeks postpartum and still getting fairly engorged, even with comfort pumping.

Any advice or just shared stories would help. I’m so torn between carrying on because I enjoy the feeding side of it or switching to formula.

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?
