No judgement please. Sleep training because I have no help and cannot continue functioning on no sleep.
My baby tends to whine, not a full cry when I leave the room. When I check in times like this it turns to a full on crying and I think I'm making it worse. Do you do check ins when whining?

How old is baby?

If its just whining, dont check in, especially if you've noticed that it turns into cries after checking

I didnt ferber but if my baby is just whining or like...scruffing around in her crib I dont go in. 9/10 shes going back to sleep on her own and if i went in everytime it would just wake her up!

I haven’t done Ferber but if my little girl moans but isn’t crying I leave her. This is actually how she settles herself sometimes. She does it for pram naps too sometimes. She makes noise but isn’t upset or crying. I always leave her if she’s not unhappy.
No one should judge you, you’re doing what you need to function and be the best mum you can. Baby is safe, warm and loved xx

Curious why you decided on Ferber. I would really dig in on some research. No judgement that you are sleep training but there’s a lot of approaches and I don’t like that it is causing you to question whether you can attend to your child’s needs. Def sleep train if you need to but maybe take a different approach.
