yeah it’s called cluster feeding she’s trying to let your body know how much milk she wants

Cluster feeding is not for the faint of heart. It's ok, this is how your breasts know to produce more milk, don't get discouraged and give formula unless you see signs of dehydration (less wet diapers, or dry lips). If you give formula then she doesn't demand as much from you and then your supply will fall behind.
It's ok to be overwhelmed, put baby down in crib/bassinet and walk away for a few. If your SO is around giver her to him for a bit.
I know this is controversial, but co-sleeping as needed really saved me with my second. I didn't do it with my first and we both suffered, I was so tired I started falling asleep in unsafe positions with him. My second I would try to get her into the bassinet, but if we got to the point where she just wouldn't go to sleep or was cluster feeding, I'd put her on the boob with my arm around her so I knew she wasn't going anywhere, made sure the blanket wasn't anywhere near her and we'd take a nap together.
Good luck, you got this. If it was easy men would do it lol.

There is a lay down position which will help if feeling tired. This stage is very difficult and hard make sure you are drinking plenty of water, eating snacks and fueling your body as it completely drains you ! Sending you strength mama 🩷

As I read this, it reminds me of my own exhaustion in those early days. At the time, I went to see a breastfeeding/lactation specialist and she said no baby ever cluster feeds that long. It’s almost always an issue with the latch. If they latch properly, and get all the milk, then they are fine after 15-20mins, even 7mins is fine (minimum). I would advise you to see someone who can help to show you how to best latch them on, and things will improve significantly! Good luck. Message ne privately if you wish to chat more. I spent months being up most nights for long time and it was for no good reason.

i made this mistake when my daughter was a couple weeks old too! she fed off my boob for 3 hours straight but don't let her feed longer than 30 mins on your boob, after 30 mins the milk is harder for her to get making her burn more calories than she's taking in and she'll start losing weight; my daughter dropped below her birth weight by the time she was 3 almost 4 weeks old as i fed her anytime she wanted which honestly was 20 hours out of the 24 hour day 💀 things will get better momma, best of luck to you🤞🏻ps i only know this because my daughter got admitted when they seen she dropped below her birth weight and i said "im not sure how i literally feed her for hours straight" and they said that was the problem and explained everything to me!

The 30 minutes thing isn’t true for majority of women … my son never lost the early weight & went from 33% to high 90s for weight on ebf by 2m .. he has always been nursing for minimum 10 hrs a day & I rarely switch boobs bc he chokes with letdown when I change.. he had some mini feeds on demand but those are often every ten-15 minutes each day bc he started to get distracted after 4m but he still at almost ten months will stay on a single side for minimum 3hrs straight if he doesn’t or if it’s only 1 hr once or twice straight then he spends 12 hrs straight nursing all night .. bc he’s destractibke in that time he kill shrink and bite scratch etc if I move to drink water etc — it’s horrible I haven’t slept more than a few hrs a day since a week before he was born 😭 bc he also only naps if my boob is in his month basically those long sessions during day even side lying I can’t sleep when he does

That’s why I pump too it’s a lot easier to feed a bottle if your really tired than breastfeeding
Hello!
Has anyone had this with their little one?
Is it urgent or can it wait until monday for gp?
He is not in distress and breathes normally

My 10 week old has always been very attracted to me from the start and early on when I put her down in the bouncer or the mat to play she woukd start to cry after 10-20 minutes. Recently its gotten alot worse to the point she starts to cry as soon as I lower her down or bring her away from me. The only time she's happy and not crying when im not holding her is nappy changes, she rarely does tummy time on the mat as she will just scream the place down (she does it on my chest instead).
Will she grow out of this or is there anything I can do to settle her when I put her down, ive tried toys, lights, singing, books but nothing works unless I pick her up. I feel bad that nothing gets done around the house or that I dont get 5 minutes to myself. Shes exclusively bf.

Has anyone else experienced this with their little one? 🥹💗
My little girl is nearly 7 weeks old and during the day she’s generally absolutely fine, but as soon as nighttime comes around, it’s like a switch flips!
She screams and cries, sometimes for hours, and it feels like nothing I do settles her. I’ve tried feeding, winding, changing, cuddling. I even started her on infacol and giving her gripe water.
The strange thing is that it’s only at night! During the day she’s a completely different baby.
Has anyone else gone through this? Is it just a phase, witching hour, colic or something else? When did it get better for you?
I’m absolutely exhausted and have no idea what else to try.

Hello!! My girl is almost a year old and I’m planning on trying to wean her soon! I need all the tips and tricks because she is very dependent on nursing to sleep and for comfort. I feel terribly taking that away but for my mental sake I want to be done bf soon! I know day time feeds are easier to take away first I’m just nervous she won’t get enough solids to replace nursing.

Beyond the parents & the doctor its no one else business if your son got a circumcision because thats his body & his business.
The baby doesnt have to finish the whole bottle & the toddler doesn't have to finish the whole plate.
You owe everyone NOTHING in term of 'bonding' with your child including bottlefeeding of you breastfeed exclusively.
You are enough, you are a new version of yourself, you gotta learn this version and get help in areas where you need, dont be peer pressured to 'get your pink back' we are not flamingos 😮💨
