Hi, my little boy is 7 months and we’ve been weaning since he was 5.5 months. He still doesn’t seem bothered about any foods. I offer such a variety and he isn’t interested. I spoon feed but also give him the chance to feed himself both with spoon and BLW. He will refuse to pick up any food almost seems like he’s scared to touch it and he won’t put it in his mouth. The only thing he will pick up and eat is a wafer or the baby crisps. I feel like there’s so much pressure for them to be eating 3 meals a day and dropping bottles and honestly I’m not getting anywhere with it. I could even eat with him or eat what he’s having and he still won’t be bothered when it comes to him eating it. I’m just worried I’m not doing it properly or that he won’t be bothered

Hey mama he will do it in his time my son was the same way and recently he started bringing food to his mouth and eating hes now 9 months old if you need more help or advice you can text me and i can help

I felt the exact same, my little one is 7 months and rarely eats the 1 meal a day I give him. I shared my concerns with my health visitor and she reassured me, babies are meant to get their main source of nutrients from breast milk and/or formula for the first year! Food is for fun until then, keep doing what your doing and he will get there 🤍

By 7 months theyre still only generally having 1 meal a day. Just sit with them and eat the same thing and dont pressure him.
By 8-9 months you can do 2 meals...10-11 3 meals and a snack if theyll take it.
You just keep offering and eventually theyll accept food.

At 7 months, there should be NO pressure to drop bottles. Anyone pressuring that is not informed. Milk is the primary source of nutrition through 12 months.
Regarding food, model model model. Eating with baby is the best way to teach them how to eat. Serve what you serve adapted for his developmental needs. 1-2 “meals” is fine. Goal is exploration
