Hey Mumas!
Is anyone else looking for schools next year, or already done this and their kids started school? If so, how much are you saying about being a solo parent? I will need some support from school and guidance on how to navigate phonics, but I think I need them to know it's me, with one pair of hands...!
Any thoughts or suggestions on how open you've been with schools at the beginning or after kids start..?

My son's teacher came for a home visit, they asked specifically about who would be doing pick up and drop offs and what days. They'll be well used to single parents.
We've got a phonics folder with a new page a week with 4 sounds on, a numbers book with new numbers every 4 weeks and a new reading book every week. The children learn the sounds are school, you're just running thru it at home, my son likes doing it, so that makes a big difference!
