Christmas gifts santa

How do you all do gifts from Santa?

I was brought up and do the same, items that are on the list to Santa come from Santa no matter the value (doesn't always get everything on list), plus a few stocking fillers from Santa that he leaves in stocking in the bedroom.

Several gifts from us maybe 8-10 some are what were on the Christmas list.

Santa is the magic of Christmas so he brings the most presents

We do a stocking from santa and then a couple of others under the tree. It’s usually the bigger things on the list, i.e. a bike or something like that. And then he gets a few presents from us. We limit Santa list to 5 things.

I do one ot two small gifts from Santa, the rest are from us, family and friends. X

Stocking is from Father Christmas. Presents are from me.

Santa got me my stocking presents (engraved pencils, sweets, etc. Nothing special) my main presents came from Mum and Dad etc. Not all children will be able to get expensive presents, and its sad when a child looks at what santa got their friends and then what santa got them. We knew we only got small things from Santa as he has lots of children to give gifts too. X

Completely disagree. In the current financial climate, Santa is not the magic and does not bring the most presents. Santa will be bringing 1 or 2 and that is it.

Santa brings my daughter a book of her choice.

We don't do all the presents coming from Santa if you've been good cos I've worked in nurseries and kids whose parents don't have as much can think they haven't been good enough cos Santa didn't bring them as much.

We don't even mention she has to be good.

Everything else is from family, friends etc

We do stockings from Santa and one medium sized gift, usually wooden for the effect that the elves made it 🤣

We only do one gift from Santa which our son will get when we do Santas Grotto as they always gift a book and that's it. The rest comes from Daddy and Mummy, we are teaching him differently as in Santa is the "Mascot" to Christmas instead of the one who gives a bunch of presents

Growing up it was always Santa who did the presents. Still not fully decided yet but I think we’ll do the same, however, we’re already instilling in our 3 year old that while Santa brings them, we have to work hard to send him the money he needs to make the presents in his workshop. Kind of keeping the magic but making sure he appreciates that we have to work so we can pay for them etc

One present from Santa - either gonna do a scooter £15, or somet like a selection box
Everything else from us/family/friends

Definitely just one gift from Santa, maybe not even any. Call me a Scrooge but I think it’s super weird to teach my child that someone we’ve never met is allowed to come into our house whilst we sleep. And I would rather have the credit for the presents I’ve bought him! Also would make the conversation tricky around - how come some kids get loads from Santa and some get hardly any

In our house Santa gets a little gift and fills a stocking with simple little fun things/snacks, he will also transport presents from any relatives we aren't seeing on the day, so there's still the magic of presents arriving. I actually don't understand people who want to give Santa the credit for presents 😂 and also think it's a bit thoughtless when people do this because children can go into school and say Santa got them all sorts of expensive stuff, which may make less privileged children feel like they've been punished because they've got less. My sister was telling me a friend of hers says that family and friends all send Santa the money to make/choose presents which I guess is one way around it but seems a bit convoluted to me!

We had a stocking from Santa ( sweets, socks, pants, little bits and bobs) and main gifts 1-2 from parents . My family believed (which I agree with) some parents can’t afford massive big gifts from Santa so smaller Santa’s gifts are better so children don’t think Santa’s dosent like them as much or they done something wrong x

My eldest is 5 this year and we've always only done a couple of small presents from Santa and then a stocking (usually chocolate/sweets, pencil crayons, bath bomb) from Santa. He hasn't done his letter to Santa yet, but has said he wants to ask for bluey trainers. More expensive presents we always encourage him to ask us to buy or family members to put toegther for it. I hate the thought of other children feeling like they've been "naughty" because Santa hasn't left them much.

I think it's really interesting how everyone does it differently

The big or expensive presents come from parents and smaller presents or less expensive come from santa as I couldnt bare the thought of my children thinking they hadn't been good and that's why santa hasn't bought them the latest switch. I even said to them if anyone at school says santa brought me this for example brand new Xbox, PlayStation or switch I said ignore them they're lying there parents bought it. Imagine all the kids in the world that wanted Xbox and new switches how is santa even managing that 🤣🤣

Contraception

We usually use condom. But I'm so so scared that I'll be pregnant again by the littlest chance possible. I can't afford another baby I don't even have energy or mental capacity for it. My body can't handle it. I can't even make a mistake, I can't have any surprises. Im too scared to use the coil and I don't want to have pills. Has anyone got pregnant still using condoms?

This may ruffle feathers....but bird on

Being a woman does not mean you are fully capable of understanding all women nor does it grant you the right to invalidate another woman for choices you wont make.

Many times glares ive gotten are from older or younger women.

Generalization is a form of assumption which is in the ignorant family and when i read about it like calling out 'all men' gotta put into perspective that you aint talking bout my man.

Most unsolicited and absolute opinions ive heard are from women who feel like they know just because and its not true.

Im not a girls girl and i do not stand with turfs nor do i allow any women to speak over my life or my family without boundaries.

This app has lots of women who scratch the itch to vomit unsolicited, absolute & biased opinions just because they're a woman...feels good to get this off my brain much like how my block list could grow 🤣

Anyone else out there feel any of this?

What age is best to get the tonies box?

I’m thinking of getting one for my little girl but can’t decided if I should get it this Christmas/birthday or wait until next.
She will be 10 months at Christmas, will she get any use out of it this year?
