For context: I have a 6m old little boy. We’ve both got a cold. I’ve been washing and sterilising the syringe in between doses but not sure if I’m causing myself more work than necessary

I did when he was under 18 m but haven’t been arsed since

We used to with my eldest because we had the bucket of Milton stuff around so it was no extra effort to sterilise it. He was also born in lockdown so we were a bit more paranoid.
I wouldn't have done it otherwise and I've never sterilised that sort of thing for my youngest.

I relaxed on all that sterilizing after 6 months. I would just sanitize with warm water and soap instead.

Washed yes. Sterilised never 🙈

I’ll wash them in hot soapy water but they don’t need sterilising

I do right after use for everyone’s med cups/syringes, but I usually just use my PGA water & mist them after washing & if it’s a syringe dropper lid I just don’t let it touch the mouth, so for babies I typically put it in their bottles/ food or on a spoon that’ll go in the dishwasher.

For an infant yet I wash in hot soapy water and then pop in the sterilizer along with pacis and bottles.

I'd wash them but didn't sterilise them and he's always been fine. I prepared since he was 3m with calpol so I have so many syringes 🤣🤣

I just have a bowl with Milton in when someone is sick and throw anything in like calpol syringes, dummies, bottles, teething rings etc
