My baby was born on Nov. 25, and i had the most traumatic experience ever…
I was 39 weeks and 1 day when I started having contractions around 2 AM. They were about five minutes apart but would ease up when I stood or walked. At 4 AM I felt a leak, and my partner said it looked like water mixed with a little blood. My contractions stayed irregular, so at 8:30 AM I called L&D to ask if I should wait for my OB appointment or go in. They told me to come get checked.
When I arrived, they checked me and told me I was already 9 cm dilated. I got the epidural, but soon after, my baby’s heartbeat started slowing down and then became hard to find. A team rushed in, had me change positions, and then said we needed to go to the OR immediately. In the OR they said the epidural wasn’t working for surgery, so they had to put me under general anesthesia.
When I woke up, they told me I had a C-section and lost some blood but didn’t need a transfusion. I was shocked and sad because everything happened so fast—I thought being 9 cm meant I’d be meeting my baby in minutes, not going through an emergency surgery.

Omg wow! Were you in a lot of pain for being at 9cm? I’m sorry you had to go through that, but I’m glad you and baby are safe. I hope you recover well.

You're so strong 💙🥹 congratulations
