My 5 month old averages out on 10-11 TOTAL daily hours. I feel like that’s sooo low. I was looking over huckleberry to when he used to sleep ‘well’ (7-8 hours at night) and even then he was sometimes only napping once in the day.
I’d been focusing on trying to get 3 hours of naps daily but no matter what I do, he goes to bed at 10:45pm and is up at 7am (waking every 2 hours atm for comfort/ feed).
Hes completely happy in himself though! Sometimes can be grumpy in the evening (when his wake window is 3-4 hours) but I’ve tried earlier bedtime countless times and he actively fights going to sleep until 10:45!!
Should I be concerned about this? What can I do (if anything) to extend a low sleep needs baby’s daily sleep?

No advice, but fwiw, mine was similar since birth - always significantly less sleep than the expected/target for her age, long wake windows, and no amount of sleep training would move up her bedtime 😅 Shes 21months now and still that way, but otherwise happy/healthy. I’ve mentioned it to her doctor at check ups and they never seemed particularly worried.

Sometimes, since about 18 months, but generally she still wakes at least once. Doesn’t generally want anything except to say hi… she has gotten better at getting herself back to sleep though.
