I know we are all excited to nest and prepare for the baby.. but does anyone prepare themselves for their baby? Last time I gave birth I looked and felt a HOT MESS. And I’m pretty sure that slipped into me not feeling as “confident “ to give birth. Especially being a bigger girl.
I would like to prepare my body by shaving to be the very least lol , have my eyebrows and hair done and if I’m being extra , maybe even my nails. I’m not the kind of girl to wear makeup everyday so I won’t be dolling myself up to “give birth “ but this is more so to “look good and feel good. “ and to have my new baby see me rather decent lmao 🤣. Am I the only one who thinks about this? Or am I just being extra over all. And also , I just want to have a better postpartum and have less stress of how I look too.

I’ll be shaving my legs 2 days before c section, curling hair and doing makeup morning of. I like to feel good going into big things. Definitely do some self care and go into birth feeling good about yourself whatever that means for you.

I dont go all out but yeah feel the same way. I shaved, did a fresh re-twist, wax lip/eyebrows lol just to feel less pressure right after baby

I looked OKAY in my hospital photos from my first child. This time I want to make sure I look and feel comfy, especially postpartum. Because they were special moments captured with my baby and I don’t want to feel sad sharing the photos because I don’t like how I looked. Also I do believe in LOOK GOOD, FEEL GOOD.

I got my hair braided so that I don’t have to worry about it and got cute press ons and painted my toes. When I look better I feel better. The pajamas I have for the hospital are cute and warm . I don’t feel like neglecting myself will lead to an easier transition into motherhood since it will already be busy and a lot anyways .

Last time I made sure my extensions would still be intact bc I didn’t wanna have to worry about doing my hair for a bit and also definitely shaved. Idk I might get braids done again just so I don’t have to worry about it. The problem is I get tired of my hair being in extensions. It’s heavy or itchy or something. I need another long term hair solution besides shaving it off lol

I’m going to try and get my hair done before labor and my mom is going to shave under my belly because I can’t see lol.

I’ve never been prepared both my prior pregnancies were emergency so this time I got my stuff together early cute but practical nightgowns since it will be another C-section I also don’t wear makeup a lot so I’m just bringing skincare and eye patches since I’ll be there a few days

I didn’t get a chance last time cause it was earlier then expected but I will be fixing my hair, being that’s the first thing to make me feel “clean” in some sorts, we will see on the shaving if I can even reach just too feel better but the nails it’s a no cause newborn diapers and shit not my vibe but I get the wanting to feel good

Absolutely not doing too much. This is my first and my grandma always told me to look better than you feel. Im confident about how I can handle labor but I refuse to be self conscious during labor. I’m due in a few weeks. I’ve already twisted my hair, I’m due for another leg wax this week, I’m getting a mani pedi. It’s just a must. You wanna meet your little one with as much confidence as you can have in my opinion. It sets the tone for the kid even if you don’t notice it right away.
So my son has recently turned 6 months and a week or so. I wanted to know what you guys are doing binky wise? Are you weening or ? Because I have only been letting or giving him his when he cry’s super bad having a hard time sleeping or if he grabs it himself. Doing it this way I have noticed him slowly put the binky down himself but maybe I’m moving too early?

Took my 4 year old last night to the Er with a ear infection. They asked her two questions “Donyou feel safe at home ? She reply no . Does any one hurt you she reply big bubba .
Okay ladies this is not true . Her and her big bubba wrestle and play fight . And I honestly don’t think she understood the first question . I’m freaking out and wondering if I will get CPS on me

Hey all - my 3 month old has lost almost all her hair 😢 she looks like Groundskeeper Willy right now. She has a bit of cradle cap, but the hair lost is a ring around her head. Is this expected? She was my little ginger haired girl 🥺

My MIL told my husband that I should be breastfeeding(nursing) and that pumping is not the right way to feed my baby….
Anyone else thinks that’s wild??

Hi ladies, I’m looking for recommendations for natural material (cotton, bamboo, etc) padded bralettes.
I’m a 23 weeks pregnant with a very small chest but wide back. I’ve always been blessed that I can wear bralettes and looking for some that I can wear now and for breastfeeding that have some padding so my nips don’t show 😅 I’m also very aware that my boobs should be getting bigger later on so a bit unsure about sizing if anyone has any advice. Thanks ❤️

My 11 week old is really congested and struggling with a cold. The infant olbas oil says unsuitable for under 3 months. I think I’m just paranoid, but will we be okay to use it? And if so how is best to use it?
