Hey, I just wanted to see if I’m over reacting.. my job schedule is 8am-5:30pm two days out of the week and on Mondays it’ll be from 8:30-7pm. My toddler will be in daycare basically from 7:45am- 6pm two days out of the week and on Mondays 8am-6pm. Am I overreacting when I feel like that is just too long for her to be at Daycare? Does anyone else work long hours and their little ones have to be at daycare that long? 🥹🥹

That is a very long day for her to be away from her mummy 😢

I don’t know if this will ease you at all but I work in a nursery and my hours are 8:15 - 5:15 meaning she is in nursery for this time. She does 3 full days which is same as my hours and since she has started we haven’t had an issue. At first she got tired and I asked them to put her for a nap if she gets tired. Now she is used to it she has one nap during the day and plays with her friends.
Hope this helps you in some way! Xx

Unfortunately we’d feel guilty no matter what we did. In this day and age we have to work to be able to provide a good life for our children. I’m sure she enjoys being at daycare and enjoys being with all of her friends 🫶🏻 when she is older she’ll be thankful that her mummy worked hard so you could all have nice things! 🤍🥰

I think it’s fine! My nursery is open 8am-6pm and most babies are there the full day, 5 days a week. I manage to do 9-6 5 days a week. My baby loves it and is learning so much there. Don’t stress!

It is long, but its only 3 days. I work at a nursery and we have children down 7.45-6.30 5 days a week.
My own daughter does 7.30-5 two days a week and 7.30-6.30 one day a week. It is how it is unfortunately. He has a blast at nursery. I am in the fortunate situation that I work there. So she often comes into my room around 5/5.30pm. But not always
