Independent sleep

I haven’t even tried it yet, I know she would just turn on her belly and scream. I prefer to give her bottle or just rock her to sleep. She’s pretty good

I am fortunate that my little boy has been doing this since just before turning 3 months old. He is my 2nd and my my 1st didn't until after he turned 1 though x

I found my little boy naturally came to prefer this, I would cuddle him until he went sleepy but he started fussing and looking around but I would put him down and he settled. Now I just sit with him until he falls asleep so I can comfort him if he ever needs it. Most of the time its just to give him his dummy back because he spat it out lol

We don't even do it with our 3.5yo (she doesn't cry anymore, obvs). Bedtime is a lovely time to connect and we're in no rush for either of them to fall asleep independently x

We still sleep all night in our 3 year old boys bed. He really struggles to switch off his brain to sleep and needs comfort which isn’t a problem. We enjoy the snuggles. One of us is with our youngest and one with the toddler.

Some babies do and some don't. My second has always fallen asleep independently. My first didn't until she was nearly 2

Yep but he is my second so didn’t have a choice some nights! My first has always been a nightmare at bedtime so unfortunately sometimes the baby had to be put in his cot whilst I dealt with the toddler. He just likes to snuggle a blanket which I then have to remove 🥰
