How much milk are babies taking?

Hey ladies, how much milk are your 3-4 months taking per day? My 12 week old little girl was on 750ml / 26 oz but over the last few days she’s started cluster feeding again and we’re only just about hitting 700ml/ 23 oz. I don’t want to force her and she’s getting plenty of wet and dirty nappies and is happy within herself and is gaining weight, but she is also just slightly dipped under her steady growth on 25% centile.
Getting her weighed again in 1 month. HV isn’t concerned atm but keen to hear what everyone’s LO’s are on.

My girl is 12 weeks and has anything from 30-38 depending on the day and growth spurts/off days. I wouldn’t worry to much as long as she keeps having plenty of wet nappies and growth doesn’t dip dramatically x

My 14 week old is drinking 36-42oz per day. I think it does stabilise between 3-5 month's.

My girl is 16 weeks old and averages 24oz a day, she’ll have the odd day here and there where she takes up to 30oz but it’s rare. She seems to be growing well following 25th Centile after a dip to the 9th around 10 weeks, HV has no concerns and says she seems to be drinking what she needs rather that stocking up for through the night! My boy is 3 months now and takes about 30-36oz a day, but there has been a couple of occasions where he’s gone a few days/a week where he’s had less, so maybe see how you get on and if it increases again?

My girls 13 weeks and has anything from 24 - 30 a day. Used to be higher but she has a bottle aversion so currently working to fix that. If baby is putting weight on then try not to get fixated on intake recomendations xxx

My baby drinks 180 mils every feed she has about 5 feeds a day, I don’t think there’s a right or wrong in terms of how much your baby is drinking as long as they are gaining weight perfectly in the normal range and it should be fine but it would be worth checking with the healthcare professional at your next weigh in

Thanks everyone. It’s crazy because there was a point that we had to hold some back as she was guzzling loads but over the last week she just snacks through the day and then tends to have 4-5 oz before bed at 7pm and then around 5 oz around 2am and then another 3-4oz around 7am and then the cluster begins again. I’ll chat to the health visitor. It just seems so different to her usual behaviour and so it’s worried me slightly.
We’ve got another weigh in, in a few weeks, so will chat with the HV.
Thanks all.

My 14 week old is anything between 38 and 42oz a day! He dis suddenly get quite tall and now fits 6-9 month clothing due to his height. But my friends little one born 2 days before mine is only taking 24-28oz a day and he is also happy and healthy just smaller. And my niece was and is 10th centile but a very happy healthy little girl. (All babies are so different, as long as she seems content and has wet nappies I wouldn’t stress too much)x

Can someone pls help i keep making this post and nobody is responding

My boyfriend booked a trip for us to go to mexico for a week as my push present. I have severe anxiety leaving my 7 month old with my mom. I know she will be in good hands but she’s exclusively breast fed for the most part but accepts bottles just fine. i have all my pumping parts packed and will pump when baby normally eats but i don’t want baby to forget me or have latch issues when i return!! any mommas ever experience this?

Postpartum

I’m only 3 days postpartum (FTM) and already have extremely bad anxiety. I’m crying every night, as I think of another night of no sleep. My baby will not settle in his cot, he cries every moment we put him down unless in his chair rocker. So me and my partner are having to alternate after 3/4 hours of being awake with him downstairs. I’m trying everything to get him to settle. It’s a load of overwhelming stress. I’m 23, I was desperate for a baby and now I have one and feel completely useless. I miss it just being me and my partner.

I feel like just a milk cow

Hi I have a 16 day old via c section, I'm a FTM never having been around babies before as I am the youngest of my household and from a small family. My husband is fantastic with our little one. But ever since I've had the baby I just feel like the only thing I'm good for is producing milk. I feel disconnected from my husband like the only reason he's around is because am producing milk. We were having some issues before the baby and we're struggling it took a while to feel like he was onboard even though he said he was from the moment we found out. I dunno if I'm feeling like a spear part because I'm lacking confidence with baby or because I feel like he wouldn't mind being a single dad. Is this postpartum hormones or something else?

How long did it take for your child’s circumcision to heal and you could give him a bath?

I’ve just been wiping him down with a fiber wash cloth but I just wanted to know from others experience on how long it took

When does it get better?

I was crying on the phone with the perinatal mental health team today and the lovely lady, bless her, kept assuring me that it gets better. I kept telling her I hope so because people have been saying that since having my LO and it just feels like it keeps getting worse. She assured me it gets better....
