Hi all. So my little boy is still very much a little spud but maybe a week ago or so he did actually roll from his belly to his back (I was so excited) although he’s not done it since and there’s no signs of him rolling from back to front yet. That being said I’ve very aware that once he can roll the swaddle has to go. He needed a new one so the one he’s in now you can unzip and remove the arms. How did you all start transitioning? One arm out? Or did we go cold turkey and just accept some sleepless nights? He sleeps amazing it in but In my head I don’t see the harm in slowly trying to get him used to sleeping with his arms out before he can roll. Any tips and tricks would be greatly appreciated x

We went cold turkey the only issue we had was when our lg was settling for the night she would pull out her dummy but that went for about a week and now she's good x

We did one arm transition for a week or so alternating arms then did both after and he really only had a few wakeups with transition. We tried cold turkey at first but it was miserable

We did one arm at a time, took a couple of weeks for us
Tried cold turkey but he’d slap himself in the face and wake up within about 000.5 seconds of being put down 🙃

We used a silent swaddle, so arms out but silent Velcro across the chest. It helped decrease the startle reflex and was honestly a super easy transition for us. My son hated his arms contained, escaped swaddles that the nurses did in the hospital, so it wasn’t even 4 weeks in that we switched cold turkey and had success.
