My little one is yet to move into her cot (she’s 9 months) as the next to me we have is huge! I’m wondering if anyone has any ideas on getting her used to it? Shes EBF and atm will fall asleep on my bed then I move her into the next to me however her cot is a small walk away… how can I transfer without waking🤨

My Lo has been in her cot since she was 4 months old (cot in our room).
I put her in there for her naps but kind of went straight into it and luckily she was fine, possibly as the cot was in our room so not a huge difference.
Regarding transferring, i found making sure she is in a deep sleep before trying. I then put her legs down first then use the arm i took away from her legs to support her head as i remove my other arm (if that makes sense).

We started off by sitting our girl in her cot whilst she was awake and we were doing jobs upstairs, so she could play and get used to it, then started doing naps in there before starting to put her in overnight. We’ve always put her in her cot awake so haven’t gone through any risky transfers luckily! X

We had been using a travel cot for holiday and she was so exhausted she fell asleep in that quickly so we decided to make the transfer to her big cot when we got back.
We stopped feeding to sleep during the day and using sleep sacks for naps and let her fall asleep in the cot.
Now even if she wakes up she quickly falls asleep.
We also use a zed for both naps and bedtime. It’s a life saver https://rockitrocker.com/product/zed/
