Those that have been on holiday or slept away from home with baby how were they?
We’re off to butlins in a few weeks & at home he’s normally in bed with me and he sleeps really well, so I’m a little worried 🤣
I’m also not sure whether to just take the next to me or buy a proper travel cot? (I don’t even know if he’ll sleep in them hahaha he’s also a contact napper🤣)
Any advice / personal experience welcome!🥰

Enjoy your trip! Babies can get used to new routines fast, even though they will protest (sometimes a lot 🥲) i’d suggest putting bubs down for a nap in the day in the next to me and getting him used to it. He probs won’t sleep much at first but even 10 mins is a win! Over the next few weeks it will become easier and he’ll nap longer. Then if you’re there and you feel the next to me is worth a shot whilst you’re away it can then be more of an option that a shock to the system for him! Have the best time and enjoy it! Nothing will be 100% perfect, just go with it and have fun x

I went away for a night in an Airbnb when our baby was a month old (we had a wedding reception to go to) and he was difficult but we stay away at family’s house now quite a lot as I have family away from us and he’s perfectly fine in his travel cot. All I can say is try and get his daytime naps as close to their normal times as possible and he should sleep as normal! Enjoy your family break away! X

We’ve taken our girl away multiple times and she’s been absolutely fine! Slept in the travel cot no problem x

We’ve slept in hotels and another people’s houses. While she was cosleeping we just continued to do so. Now she’s in a cot I’ll probably also do a cot whilst away too.

We have been away twice and both times he has slept better than at home 😅 x
