Waking up at 6am 😵‍💫

Any advice on how to get your kid to sleep in? My lo is a year old. I’ve been trying to get him down to one nap but he’s struggling. If he sleeps till 7:30am he usually takes a nap from 11-1, then he’s EXHAUSTED by 5 but then it’s too late for a second nap. And he’s waking up earlier every day. But now he won’t take 2 naps, if he does take an early nap, like 10-12 he won’t go down for another nap. We have a set routine at night but him actually falling asleep varies from 7:30-9pm depending on if he will go down.

How do I get him to sleep in to AT LEAST 7:30?!

My son is also 1 he naps from 1 till 3 sometimes 4 and will be in bed asleep by 8 it seems the later he naps the better he goes to sleep at night and the later he wakes up in the morning he normally wakes up 8 8.30 if I don’t have to wake him up before. He used to wake between 6-7 and nap at 11 ish but 1 day he napped later as we was out and then he just all of sudden napped later every day and the bedtime was so much easier

My son has been an early waker since birth. I tried everything under the sun to get him to sleep in but nothing really worked. He’s 4.5 years now and still is an early waker. I just had to come to peace with it 😄
It’s very beneficial when we are away on a vacation. We are beating all the crowds cause most people sleep in and we take advantage of going to places without crowds, it’s literally the best haha.

Yeah I always put my son for a nap between 1-4pm never let him sleep past 4 and he’s in the bath for half 7 and bed for 8/8:30 he’s now 2 and sleeps all night and doesn’t get up until 9am x

Sleeping til 7:30 is pretty late for little kids! He won’t take 2 naps because the 1 nap is so long. Cap the first nap if you still want a second nap. It doesn’t sound like he’s ready for 1 nap if he’s that tired by 5pm. Once they can make it to midday more easily then you could try to switch to 1 nap.

My son is 4 and wake up anytime between 2.30am(at least once a week) and latest 4.30/5 am 🤣

My 2 almost 3 use to wake up at 6 am every morning now it’s 7am since he just started daycare. I get off from work at 7am so we’re both doomed lol😂😂😂only on weekends we can sleep in and 9/10 he’ll lay back down if I just say lay down baby and give him his teddy bear and sippy cup .

Some kids just wake up early lol I have a 6 years old and she’s always been an early riser thankfully she’s old enough to make her own bowl of cereal so I can sleep longer then wake up and make her real breakfast if she still wants it

Push the one nap until after dinner time, he's currently sleeping throughout a meal time. Do dinner at 11.30 then push back 10 mins or so a day until you've got it when you want 12/12.30
Snacks to push him on till then.
My LO has always been an early riser but it fit in for our routine. When he went to nursery he was up between 6-630 and in bed by 7. One nap after dinner for 60-90 mins

That's honestly quite a late wake up time for his age 😆

Idk 😅 my kiddo has been waking at 9 has two naps and goes to sleep at 8 just recently he changed to waking at 8. For a while he fought that first nap and he was waking up at 5:30-6 every day and just was fussy but then he started needing his first nap again and now wakes at 8 again. So maybe sleep regression? 😅 idk

I wish I had some advice. My LO is on my husband’s wake up work schedule. Has been since before he was born. Bed time for him is 7p, he wakes up at 10p, 1a, 3a and usually up for the day by 5:30/6a. He naps from 9:30a till 11a then another nap at 1:30-3:30 . . . If I cut those shorter he is cranky and screaming by 6p and I really rather not put him down that early.

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

Is anyone else's 4 month old randomly screeching now? I'm not sure what to do and she's been doing this for the past two days. She's usually a quiet happy baby so im not sure why she's doing this now. Aby suggestions?

Baby losing weight

Hi all, it's been a long time since I had a baby (my son is 15!). My daughter is 10 days old and was 9lb born, she has since lost weight at every appointment and is at a 12% loss. I am breast feeding every two hours for over an hour and topping her up every feed. I pump and can get 60ml in 10 minutes so I know my supply is okay. Anyone had this before? Can give me some tips? I currently feel like I'm letting my baby down.
