Hey Mamas! My little boy is nearly 13 months (10 months corrected) and refuses to sit on his own. He has never wanted to roll either. I feel like I've tried everything but he's happy just lying and playing on his mat. Our Paediatrician isn't concerned yet and thinks he's just lazy. Has anyone else had this? I just want to know I'm not alone in this 😞

Trust your gut and get a second opinion ny daughter always seemed like she was having problems which I kept voicing to my pediatrician she never took me serious about her issues with sitting up or walking. Went to see someone else and ended up finding out she had slight hip misalignment and a tailbone missing.

Ask for a referral for physio. Im shocked the paediatrician has no concern as my son’s paediatrician was very concerned when he was only 9 months and they acted on it immediately with so many referrals for physio, OT, neurology, SALT etc. Does not sound lazy to me , but needing support sooner rather than later. Ask for second opinion. Turned out my son has GDD, Chiari Malformation, hypermobility and possibly autism

I would suggest getting a referral for a neurologist. My son’s pediatrician was the same way. When he was 13 months old she said put him on the floor, had no idea he wasn’t walking.

Not alone. Snuggle him often. When he gets older, he’ll want to be independent and on his own. My 4 year old became more independent at 3ish.

Please get another opinion. Depending on where you live there are free services offered to do comprehensive developmental screenings by a multidisciplinary team including a developmental pediatrician and if they determine there is a developmental delay, they will offer specific services to help. Early intervention is so important.

My little one is 14 months but 12 months gestianal. He was 6 weeks early due to health issues I was having..He was in PT for awhile .His Pt straight up told us that they would go by his gestianal age..so technically a Pt would look at your little one as 10 months..Ours said he would catch up in his own timing but not to be alarmed if he wasnt doing everything a 14 month would.

Your doing wonderful momma!

And a PT and Pediatric Dr's can have totally different thinking when it comes to this!We learned this with our baby
