Low cal savory snacks

Does anyone know any low calorie savory snacks please 🙏

Chomps beef sticks are good but expensive so I get the grass fed beef sticks at Costco. Pork rinds are higher protein low calorie and Trade Joe’s has some really good ones. And I’ve only seen these at Trader Joe’s but they have a soy rice cracker medley that is my favorite snack.

Non buttered Popcorn is a great one

Goldfish crackers! Specifically the ones that say "baby" because theyre smaller size so you can eat more lol the serving size is like 89 pieces for 140 calories 🤍

Rice cake and cottage cheese, cucumber sticks and hummus or carrot sticks, Korean cucumber salad, I love hot pickles as well to snack on, pickled cabbage/kimchi, breadsticks and low fat cream cheese, mini chicken sausages

Peppers, cream cheese & everything but the bagel seasoning

Chocolate rice cakes w cream cheese (SO GOOD)

Pork rinds w sour cream & taco seasoning

Avo w soy sauce

Cottage cheese bowls (look up different recipes on Pinterest)

I lost 100 lbs before I got pregnant. If you’re wanting to lose weight, up your protein intake to 100 grams per day, drink half your body weight in water per day, CHEW your food at least 25 times before swallowing, this is CRUCIAL. just doing that, you’ll lose weight. My MIL has only been doing that since separating with my FIL, she’s lost 40 pounds in 8 months from just doing that. You eat less bc you stop eating when you’re actually full.

Can chicken, mayo, and a can of veggies salad. Make a big bowl last for 2 days eat by it self or with crackers or bread

Would appreciate some opinions on this nursery situation.

Was I rude ? Or was the nursery staff member rude?

My 3-year-old came home from nursery on Friday with a red bump behind her ear. When I asked what happened, she told me that another boy hit her with a toy car and also hit her on her back.

I messaged the nursery and said:

“Also just wanted to say that when my daughter came home from nursery on Friday, I noticed she had a bump behind her ear and was red. I asked her what happened, and she said another boy hit her with a toy car and also hit her on her back.

I appreciate that children can have accidents in nursery and it’s impossible to eliminate everything, but I was concerned as it was on her head.

I would also appreciate if you could supervise their interactions a little more closely, particularly given the previous concerns we discussed about my daughter feeling uncomfortable around the same child and the child being rough with her before the summer break.

I know children will have disagreements and accidents, but would like to make sure my daughter feels safe and that any incidents are picked up and communicated to me.”

The teacher replied:

“OK mum I was with her for most of the day on Friday and not once did her and the other child be near each other.”

How would you interpret the nursery’s response? Do you think the teacher is simply saying that she personally didn’t witness them together, or does it come across as dismissing what my daughter told me? And was my original message reasonable, or did I come across as accusing the nursery/child?

How much does partner help you

If you’re a stay at home mom or wife whose kids are in school all day what do you expect husband/partner to
help with if anything? My husband works a lot with his job so I don’t want to be ungrateful but I am genuinely curious to see how spouses break up responsibilities in the household. All my kids are currently in school. I do have a job at night but it’s part time and very easy so it’s not burning me out and I do get to sleep as it’s home health but during the day I mostly have time to myself.

So I’ve come downstairs from settling our LO to sleep and start talking about putting in an extra nap during the day and moving bedtime later as LO has been foul the last 3 nights…… please tell me why my other half starts talking about his grass and I let him know I’m not interested and I don’t care so he asks why and I said I have more pressing stuff going on that takes priority over admiring the grass and the audacity of this man he comes out with “it’s not that hard” and I say what and he says “being a mother”………. I nearly hit the roof, not once in 15 weeks has this man settled our LO at night time and he’s done 2 just 2 midnight feeds and woke me during them…… I would love for this man to try “being the mother” and then tell me it’s not hard…… I genuinely feel like a single parent with a partner 😮‍💨

What's the problem? 🤨

People in my life act as though as I'm not doing enough as a mother and wife or that I'm putting too much on my husband. I'm a SAHM and my husband works full time and we have two kids. He either does our grocery shopping alone, takes one of our kids, or we all go together as a family. If just one of our kids have a doctor appointment he will take them on his own and I'll stay home with the other kid. He does laundry, he picks up rooms, he vacuums, he wipes things down, he does dishes, he cooks, and I do these things as well. He plays with our kids, teaches them, does bath time, does bedtime routines, and so do I.

I'm frequently finding people feel bad for my husband when they hear about all that he does. Most of the time it's women telling me they feel bad for him and giving me unsolicited advice on what I can do to make life easier for him. Am I truly not doing enough in my role or is this an issue of gender roles and stereotypes? Or possibly even jealousy?

Did I overreact? Or would you have done the same ? (Long post I’m sorry)

Okay so my daughter is 5 and autistic she rides the bus home from school and wears a built in harness you know okay so her normal bus was down and they put her on an alternate they forgot to tell him that she was in a strap and that I’d be there at the stop so when he came he let all the other kids off then pulled off with her still on the bus. I freaked out called the school and got 3 different answers as to what to do next then when I asked to speak with someone who knew more they tried to say it was because I wasn’t there on time once I corrected her TWICE she finally decides to call transportation. Well I call them myself and they also give me the run around it’s “well they might just bring her back” “we’ll have to find her” “just wait for us to call you back” “be more visible at the bus stop” so I amped and cussed everyone out I’m like this is a FIVE YEAR OLD we’re talking about. So the man at transportation hangs up on me when I said that wasn’t acceptable and I called the police because no one could tell me anything….. once the police called them the bus immediately turned around and brought her back to the stop. I asked the driver what happened and he said “I didn’t know she was on here the other kids were too loud” so I emailed the school and said to just put her back in the car rider line. My mom said I jumped the gun pulling her from the bus. But I was literally terrified.
