My little one hasn’t pooped in a week now, we went to her pediatrician on Wednesday and she’s not worried since we had to switch her formula about 2 weeks ago but my baby girl is so fussy and trying so hard to poop (and her little toots smell like a grown man’s), is there anything I can do to help her out???

There is gas relief stuff you can get in the baby aisle at Walmart, it’s made for little babies. We’ve been using it for our little girl and it’s been helping her a lot. And depending on if your doing formula you might need to change it to one that’s easier on their tummy. We use gentle premium from parents choice and she’s been able to poop at a lot better.

Karo syrup helps wonders my babygirl went through the same thing just a little drop in her formula and she will be pooping in no time

You can use a q tip with some Vaseline to help stimulate the outside area or massage her stomach clockwise (YouTube videos will show how).

Try the Frida windi, it helped my baby super fast! It’s a life saver

Pear Juice worked great for my baby a ounce of pear juice based on age and add the same amount of baby water as pear juice (example if you baby is 2 months old 2 ounces of pear juice and 2 ounces of water ) made sure it’s room temperature and your baby will poop the same day

If she’s breastfed then it’s normal

Maybe ask your doctor if it’s ok for you to use the suppositories for constipation for babies

Totally normal! My baby went over a week without pooping - we tired everything from gas drops, baths, tummy rubs and the Frida windi - nothing really worked. Eventually she just went one day.

Check with your pediatrician but my baby was having issues having with getting his poops out as well. Since he was 4 weeks we were given a sample of a probiotic and went to target to get baby some probiotic drops. They are the mommy bliss brand, he gets a dose every day and he is no longer in pain. Otherwise I’ve found that putting a warm cloth on his belly and rubbing it while giving him his Nuki helps him relax a bit. He does also take Mommy bliss gripe water that’s safe to start taking at 2 weeks. Also recommended by his doctor. I only give him one dose of both and he’s been a happy baby! I know some bicycle movements and extending his legs and scrunching them up has helped a little as well.

Instead of spending money on a Windi, you can get the same results by using a thermometer and inserting it in baby’s bum. Put a lot of vasaline on the tip and act as if you’re taking a rectal temperature. Same thing as the Windi, but you probably already own a thermometer.

I’m having that same problem at first I thought it had something to do with her hernia but it was the formula so what I did was get gripe water original and nighttime and did the pinky trick (grab some gloves lather with Vaseline put it in bbys bootie half way it’s going to make them upset. Watch out because they will blast you lol and gripe water original for day time and nighttime right before a bath nice warm bath let them sit in it for while to warm tummy rub tummy while in bath and voila baby poops)

I’m looking up and getting ads for a million things, and it’s hard to know what women ACTUALLY USE while breastfeeding and what is just useless crap. I’ve heard nipple cream/butter is a great help, but I have no clue. Let me know what you all love and use.

Before this is read wrong, I love being pregnant and love being my baby girls home 🥰 but anybody else struggling with loving their new self, growing my little girl has been one of the best experiences ever but also came with a big challenge that I never expected to face.
Learning to love a new version of myself has become the hardest part of pregnancy for me personally and think it’s one of the challenges nobody ever talks about which I get why, when I tell people about it and the struggle I’m facing many of times I’m faced with a response of “be grateful your having a baby” whilst I am extremely grateful I am also adjusting to a new version that I have no control over.
Whilst I maybe uncomfortable with the way I am now, knowing that I’m her safe space and her first home will always bring me comfort.

Hey everyone.
Sorry for the long read but please bare with me.
My husband and I have been together 7.5 years and married for 4 years. We have a nearly 5 year old little boy together.
Everything at the beginning of our relationship was everything I had ever wanted in a relationship. My husband was kind, caring, helpful, ambitious, strong etc. We both spoke about the want for our own family and how we would want to be as parents. Moving forward we got pregnant (planned), pregnancy wasn't easy and I was in and out of hospital a lot during 3rd trimester. My husband was perfect and excited etc throughout pregnancy until the 3rd trimester hit and then went of the rails a bit, drinking etc and not really there when needed.
I had experience with children and helped raised my neices, my husband had no experience. Neither of us had a good upbringing.
Roll on birth and my husband had a face like a slapped bum, our little boy was born absolutely perfect. I was really poorly and lost quite a lot of blood and was being sick. I had the shakes so bad I was struggling to hold my son. My husband left me before I was even moved to the ward whilst being unwell. He left me to go meet his dad at the pub to wet the babies head.
After we were discharged home my husband just took a back seat with everything. I done everything for our son all whilst recovering from a cseaction. My son was a poorly baby and I was also back and forth to Dr's and hospital with him on my own. My husband got a job where it was very long hours and having to stay away a few times a week for work. I was keeping the house, doing everything for our son and keeping everything together with no village. Roll on my son's like 3 weeks old and my husband says he feels nothing for our son. Shortly after this he has a massive breakdown. I supported him through all of this, took him to appointments whilst doing everything for my son who was still poorly.
For 1.5 years I done everything for my son and for everyone else and kept everything together.
Roll on to nearly 4 years later (sons nearly 5) and turns out my son is neurodivergent, has a eating disorder, now has a PEG fitted, has ketotic hyperglycemia, asthma and allergies. I'm dealing with this day in day out all whilst dealing with my own chronic health conditions.
My husband tries but he just shouts at our son a lot and gets frustrated. I feel like we just butt heads and I end up having to defend our child. He still trys to be sexual and kiss etc but I have no desire at all and even him just touching me just makes me want to pull away.
I feel like he hurt me more than anyone or anything possible. He ruined what was meant to the best time of our lives and ruined my whole experience entering motherhood and I just can't get past that. I've spoken to him and told him all this. He keeps saying he's sorry and he will change but it's just empty promises. He's not the man I feel in love with and he's not the father he was meant to be or that I want for our child.
Any advice please?

My 2.5 year old is fussing and fighting everytime I take her for her nap recently. I persist and then she sleeps for nearly 2 hours.
Normally, she would then go to bed at 8pm, take about 30 mins and then fall asleep. However, recently she will be laying in bed from 8-10pm with her eyes open like not sleeping at all.
Is she ready to drop her nap? Or is it likely to be something else

How do you teach your baby to self settle without letting them cry it out?
