Before this is read wrong, I love being pregnant and love being my baby girls home š„° but anybody else struggling with loving their new self, growing my little girl has been one of the best experiences ever but also came with a big challenge that I never expected to face.
Learning to love a new version of myself has become the hardest part of pregnancy for me personally and think itās one of the challenges nobody ever talks about which I get why, when I tell people about it and the struggle Iām facing many of times Iām faced with a response of ābe grateful your having a babyā whilst I am extremely grateful I am also adjusting to a new version that I have no control over.
Whilst I maybe uncomfortable with the way I am now, knowing that Iām her safe space and her first home will always bring me comfort.

I get you completelyā¦. And when you have had her your body will change againā¦.. and then there is another version of yourself to get used to ā¦. I am finding this bit hard ā¦. I think the real issue is i have no control over the way my body has changed but time will help and hopefully it will help you too ā¦. All i can say at the moment is thank goodness for make up and clever dressing to help me feel a bit more confident š

You know i think I hated the most when I felt sick, almost lifeless tired and emotional constantly I resented how I felt physically more than resenting my body. Weirdly now coming into my 3rd trimester it's the best ive felt in the whole pregnancy and i think I'm so grateful its feel this much better that has really helped me to appreciate my body like...wahoo I don't feel sick...wahoo I don't get dizzy every time I stand up....wahoo I actually want food and can eat food that isn't just crackers. But we all have our different feelings on this journey and I can see me really struggling with my body after birth...no more baby to house in there, discomfort, pain, what I imagine will feel like a broken vagina etc. Then that with the added possibility of no sleep, my breasts changing much more etc. So I totally feel for you and can see where that will get me just in a different place. I do understand not bring able to do what you once did or function the way you functioned.
Breastfed since one month old. Born (4lbs 11oz) At her two month check with my midwives they said she was doing really well with weight gain (6lbs 5oz). Now at 3 months we went to our family doctor and she is at 7lbs 6.4oz.
My doctor is concerned about weight gain but also said sheās doing great with holding her head, being attentive, etc. Dr. Said I should give formula
But what I donāt understand is my daughter always seems satisfied with feeding and doesnāt cry or fuss after. Anyone have a similar situation?

I just saw a post about people being lucky their kids go to bed at 7pm, the comments were filled with people saying if they sent their kids to bed at 7ā¦theyād be up at 3:30am / 4am / 5amā¦why is that??
My son goes to bed at 7pm and wakes up around 8/8:30am. I do consider myself really blessed with his sleep schedule however he doesnāt nap and heās nearly 2 𤣠he dropped his final nap when he was around 14/15 months old š if itās later please let me know! Also what time they wake up - Iām curious š

My daughter will be 1.5 in December and her pediatrician recommended sippy cups instead of bottles, the only issue is I donāt think my daughter is getting the concept. She refuses to hold it on her own and just wonāt drink from it even when Iām holding it. What tips and tricks worked for you?

Hey everyone.
Sorry for the long read but please bare with me.
My husband and I have been together 7.5 years and married for 4 years. We have a nearly 5 year old little boy together.
Everything at the beginning of our relationship was everything I had ever wanted in a relationship. My husband was kind, caring, helpful, ambitious, strong etc. We both spoke about the want for our own family and how we would want to be as parents. Moving forward we got pregnant (planned), pregnancy wasn't easy and I was in and out of hospital a lot during 3rd trimester. My husband was perfect and excited etc throughout pregnancy until the 3rd trimester hit and then went of the rails a bit, drinking etc and not really there when needed.
I had experience with children and helped raised my neices, my husband had no experience. Neither of us had a good upbringing.
Roll on birth and my husband had a face like a slapped bum, our little boy was born absolutely perfect. I was really poorly and lost quite a lot of blood and was being sick. I had the shakes so bad I was struggling to hold my son. My husband left me before I was even moved to the ward whilst being unwell. He left me to go meet his dad at the pub to wet the babies head.
After we were discharged home my husband just took a back seat with everything. I done everything for our son all whilst recovering from a cseaction. My son was a poorly baby and I was also back and forth to Dr's and hospital with him on my own. My husband got a job where it was very long hours and having to stay away a few times a week for work. I was keeping the house, doing everything for our son and keeping everything together with no village. Roll on my son's like 3 weeks old and my husband says he feels nothing for our son. Shortly after this he has a massive breakdown. I supported him through all of this, took him to appointments whilst doing everything for my son who was still poorly.
For 1.5 years I done everything for my son and for everyone else and kept everything together.
Roll on to nearly 4 years later (sons nearly 5) and turns out my son is neurodivergent, has a eating disorder, now has a PEG fitted, has ketotic hyperglycemia, asthma and allergies. I'm dealing with this day in day out all whilst dealing with my own chronic health conditions.
My husband tries but he just shouts at our son a lot and gets frustrated. I feel like we just butt heads and I end up having to defend our child. He still trys to be sexual and kiss etc but I have no desire at all and even him just touching me just makes me want to pull away.
I feel like he hurt me more than anyone or anything possible. He ruined what was meant to the best time of our lives and ruined my whole experience entering motherhood and I just can't get past that. I've spoken to him and told him all this. He keeps saying he's sorry and he will change but it's just empty promises. He's not the man I feel in love with and he's not the father he was meant to be or that I want for our child.
Any advice please?

My baby has no routine⦠I could not tell you what times he goes to bed and wakes up as everything is all over the place. Initially he was waking up every 2 hours for a feed/change then sleep/play. But now, heāll drink abit of milk, fall asleep then wake up shortly again for more milk then again fall asleep⦠I donāt have set timings anymore.
Is there anything I can do to put a routine in place? Especially with nighttime to get him to sleep throughout the night?
What do you do and is it working?
Do you bath time in the morning or evening?
Just after ideas I can start implementing to get a routine. Iāve been way to easy going š©š
