Baby changing position

Almost 36 weeks and my baby has suddenly changed position and now I can’t “map” him anymore 😭
He’s been head down since 28 weeks and at my last appointment he was 3/5 engaged (although I’ve been told they can come in and out of engagement). Before, I used to feel his kicks mostly on the left side and could clearly feel his back along my right side.
Now the top of my belly and both sides around my belly button feel quite soft. The harder area seems to be right in the middle, just underneath my belly button. I’m feeling kicks more on the upper right and upper left sides.
After doing some Googling, I’m worried this might mean he’s gone back-to-back (OP position), which I know isn’t ideal for labour. Or could he be transverse? I’m so confused and honestly a bit scared that he’s moved out of the optimal position 😔
Has anyone experienced something similar this late on?

Mine was breech at 30 weeks but is currently head down facing right. I know how tough it is though: we talk about them kicking but in reality mine is headbutting more I think. If yours is sunny side up sitting in an upright position is supposed to help I think. I've stopped lying on my back on the sofa to watch TV. Hope this helps....

Fingers crossed for you. I've read that they can suddenly flip into breech in the eleventh hour. Have you see the spinning babies website? It's supposed to be good and my midwife approved....

Sounds to me like back to back. Exactly how it feels for me when bub is back to back. They turn quite often, she turns every other day 🤣 try leaning forward over something and swaying side to side, hopefully gravity encourages them to turn x

I think they can also turn during labour if they’re back to back, so I wouldn’t worry too much! But as others have said, you can definitely encourage them to turn!

How are we getting babies ready to come out?

I’m not usually one to be impatient and I do believe babies come when they’re ready (hence getting to 42+1 in my first pregnany).
However, I have a toddler and had a previous c-section. I’m scared about how continuing to get bigger will affect my scar / possibility of it rupturing.
I am booked for an elective section if baby is not here by next Monday - but I really would prefer a VBAC (for recovery with a toddler)

Did you do anything that you truly think helped bring on labour?

Freaking out a bit

I am aware that the fear I am having is irrational but I am seeking similar stories and some re-assurance. I had a private scan which I thought was 9th week, it proved to be 13+3 weeks, despite rushing to book NHS appts, I missed the window for NT check against Down Syndrome. My blood test against the syndrome at 17 weeks came back low risk, my 20 week anomaly scan showed no concerns and everything is fine, including nuchal fold in norm. However, due to the fact I had no NT checked (I realised post private scan that it was just a basic one), I am kinda freaking out as I am 40, already feel guilty that I got my dates so wrong at the start, and the private examiner asked if I planned the blood tests which felt a bit odd. It might have been just a routine question, however it's stuck with me. Any similar stories? With happy ending of course 🙈😅

Head at 97th percentile

Hi all,

Had my 28 week scan and baby was measuring 67th percentile overall, but head at 97th percentile.

Freaking out that something is wrong with their brain and have to wait until Thursday for my 32 week growth scan.

Had a loss at 24 weeks last year and don't think I could cope with more bad news :(

Gestational Diabetes

Hey! Just been diagnosed with GD, I’m not sure how I feel about it other than trying my best not to overthink! Does anyone have any tips or has anyone else had GD? 🩷

Induction

Those who have experienced induction before, whether good or bad experiences, are you able to pinpoint why the outcome was good or bad? For example what week were you induced at and was there a point in the process that looking back was a good sign/sign things probably would not progress?

Hopefully this makes some sort of sense....
