Hey! Just been diagnosed with GD, I’m not sure how I feel about it other than trying my best not to overthink! Does anyone have any tips or has anyone else had GD? 🩷

Hey ive been diagnosed as well ngl i find it hard to manage it and i feel a bit scared everytime i see a high level but i guess they say it depends on your diet and stuff but i defo find it hard

Hey :) I got diagnosed at week 18 and am on insulin. SO overwhelming at first but you do get used to it!!! The most important thing I learnt was always pairing carbs with protein and healthy fats! Eating protein first e.g. I ate out and had a thai curry... ate all the chicken first and then veggies with the rice and sauce, my BG remained nice and normal :)
I also find i can have dark chocolate after a big meal as long as i have had enough protein.
It is a degree of trial and error and I do have days where I cry because i want pizza and cake. But you will get there!! ❤️

I was diagnosed at 14 weeks and all the Drs kept saying things like 'its nothing to be embarrassed about' cuz I'm fat. I just sat there like 'im not embarrassed' because the reality is it has a big fat NOTHING to do with your size and a whole heap of EVERYTHING to do with your hormones which we have no control over. Everyone is different and will be set off by certain things, but just remember that having that slice of toast or biccy with your decaf cuppa isn't gonna be as bad as the stress and pressure you put on yourself for trying to be perfect all the time. Yes you need to keep an eye on it, but making everything else revolve around it is gonna get you in your head and worried all the time. If your really worried ask to be referred for a dietician and weekly call appointment with the diabetes nurse. They will give you a quick 10 mins call every week to check in and give some advice so this might put your mind at ease. But above all, do what works for you both mentally and physically xx
Has anyone had a c section scheduled, but then baby decided to come early? What happened then? Were they still able to do a c section?

I am aware that the fear I am having is irrational but I am seeking similar stories and some re-assurance. I had a private scan which I thought was 9th week, it proved to be 13+3 weeks, despite rushing to book NHS appts, I missed the window for NT check against Down Syndrome. My blood test against the syndrome at 17 weeks came back low risk, my 20 week anomaly scan showed no concerns and everything is fine, including nuchal fold in norm. However, due to the fact I had no NT checked (I realised post private scan that it was just a basic one), I am kinda freaking out as I am 40, already feel guilty that I got my dates so wrong at the start, and the private examiner asked if I planned the blood tests which felt a bit odd. It might have been just a routine question, however it's stuck with me. Any similar stories? With happy ending of course 🙈😅

Hi all,
Had my 28 week scan and baby was measuring 67th percentile overall, but head at 97th percentile.
Freaking out that something is wrong with their brain and have to wait until Thursday for my 32 week growth scan.
Had a loss at 24 weeks last year and don't think I could cope with more bad news :(

I have no idea what I’m looking at here and am not convinced from this scan 😅 currently 16wks and baby was in such an awkward position they couldn’t even show us live on the screen

I'm 30 weeks today and I am EXHAUSTED! It's unlike first trimester (which was awful) in that I'm so sore, I'm constantly in pain, I have so much to do before our baby girl comes but I can't find the energy. To be fair, before pregnancy I was already struggling with chronic illness like fibromyalgia and migraines and a bladder condition but now I'm just miserable nonstop. My husband told me today that going on a walk might help but I feel like I'm struggling to even cook dinner a few times a week and I am too sore/swollen to even go to the grocery store. I know it won't get better but damn my brain keeps telling me I'm lazy and it sucks!!!
