My baby is 14 weeks old and doesn’t wake for feeds in the night. We have been setting alarms and waking her up after about 5/6 hours and she will take the boob and then go back to sleep. I don’t think she necessarily needs it however as she isn’t waking up herself to say she’s hungry. Obviously I don’t know how long she would last as we wake her but I think she could go for a longer stretch. In waking her up because I want to make sure she’s not hungry am I in turn ruining her sleep?! FT mum and just don’t know if I’m doing the right thing 😭 she is gaining weight but HV hasn’t ever said to drop the night feed but no sure that they would tbh?

We were told by the HV that as soon as they meet birth weight you do not need to wake them. Once we did this she slept through the night!

You don’t need to wake them up as they can sleep longer at night now and have more feeds during the day. My baby has a dream feed around 1am and then sleeps throughout the night til around 8-9am then diaper change and breastfeed him then he sleep again til 12pm

Enjoy it whilst it lasts! We slept through from6 weeks till 16 weeks and now were back on 2 wakes a night at 7 months 😬😬

let your baby sleep - you don’t need to disturb them
they’ll wake you if they’re hungry

My baby had started sleeping through at 9 weeks and has done ever since, she’s now 16 months! I wouldn’t have dreamt of waking her up, I was so happy she slept through! Enjoy the sleep!!! And don’t worry about sleep regressions etc because it might not even affect your baby. I didn’t know they were a thing until I came on this app and kept seeing about it and I got myself so worked up and worried about it and kept living in anxiety waiting for them to hit and they never happened!! So I was getting worked up for no reason! I think she might have been affected a little by sleep regressions but it was only her naps that were affected and it would only last a few days, her night sleep has never been affected at all
Thank you everyone, this is so reassuring!! I think yesterday was a bad day for us as she was being quite fussy with her day feeds so I felt like I MUST wake her or she’ll be starving😂 then I was spiralling! But like you’ve all said, they’ll let us know!! Deffo developing her own personality and knows more of what she wants now 😅 thank you ☺️ x

My little girl slept through at 14 weeks and is still going strong at 15 months. Hopefully this will be the case for you!

Oh I had this exact same worry at 6 weeks, got told conflicting stuff and then thought stuff it I’ll let him sleep and for what he likes then go get him weighed after 2 weeks if he isn’t putting on as much weight I’ll change back to waking.
He was still putting on weight roughly an ounce per day and still tracking his percentile so now he sleeps, some days it’s 6 hours some days it’s 8. He is now 10 weeks and hitting all developmental milestones, is super alert in wake windows. I go off his hunger cues during the day but also never leave it more than 3 hours. Again he will tell me after an hour or he will go longer but I latch him on. So I think he must be tanking up on the calories during the day.
I was concerned he wouldn’t wake even if hungry but when people say they will wake when hungry… they are not wrong lol. Enjoy the sleep you’re doing amazing!!!

Lovely don't ruin your sleep! Shell wake up if she's hungry or needs more food.
As long as she's putting on weight follow her cues.
The only time I wake is if she's fussing in her sleep regularly, I'll do a quick dream feed and nappy change and settle her more deeply again. Other than that let her sleep if she's a night sleeper, take the win and rest up, you never know when phases disrupt sleep over their first two years so take it while you can x

Do not wake her hunny!!
My 2 year old keeps waking up at 5am and is cranky and tired enough that she wants to go back to sleep but needs lots of cuddles. But because by this point sleep pressure is low she’s takes over an hour to resettle and fall back to sleep. By this point my alarm is going off 6:15am for work 😖😩
She used to wake up nicely around 7am and we’d all be a lot calmer and have breakfast together but now I’m either letting her sleep in a bit so she’s not over tired and there’s always a big rush to get out the door.
Any tips?
She goes to bed at 8-8:30pm naps around 1pm for 1h-1h:30m

I’m trying to get my mind right, trying to find something to take my mind off this got feeling I’m having that something just isn’t right and when I have this feeling I’ve never been wrong. And I just want to not think about what it could possibly need cause I know once I find out it will not be pleasant. How do you shake your worries and this gut feeling?

Hi moms!
How are your babies sleeping, especially those under 3 months?
My almost 8-week-old baby sleeps for hours in my arms, on my chest, or in the carrier, even while I’m moving around doing chores. But the moment I transfer him to his bassinet, he starts grunting, wiggling, and wakes up and starts crying.
I can spend up to 2 hours trying to get him to nap in his bassinet, and he still doesn’t fall asleep. By then, his next feeding is already coming up, and he hasn’t napped at all! 😩
At night, he sleeps much more peacefully when we bed-share. I’ve also noticed that he’s calm and quiet on my chest but much noisier and more restless in his bassinet.
I’d love to hear your real-life experiences!
What actually helped your baby sleep in their bassinet? Do you use a special swaddle, a particular type of bassinet, or any tricks to make the transfer easier?

I’m looking for recommendations on a baby sling instead of a carrier or wrap, I’ve got both which my baby loves especially when it comes to nap time but it’s a mission getting on and off and she is getting heavier. I just want something quick and easy and didn’t know these even existed! She will be 2 months so not much neck control yet but is 12lbs 14oz, so conscious it needs to be decent for proper support.
Any mums have a sling that they’ve used from this age by any chance that they’ve loved?

Anybody else 2 month old sleep through the night? She has her last bottle at about 8 and then doesn’t wake until 5am anybody else similar?

When should I get worried that my son is showing little interest in crawling? He’s 8 months old? He’s great and sitting and has just started spinning when he sits but will refuse to go on his tummy.
