Blocked Tear Duct

My newborn has a watery eye with some discharge (green) and crustiness, and I’m starting to think it might be a blocked tear duct. The eye itself isn’t really red, just teary and goopy- eye boogers.

Has anyone else dealt with this with their baby? Did it clear up on its own? Did you do massage or just leave it alone?

First-time mom here and overthinking everything 😅 Any advice or reassurance would mean so much! 💛

Its same for me she is 2 months old still does my health visitor said to add few drops of breastmilk in her eye

Id say could be conjunctivitis, use cooled boiled water to clean

My son had this, I understand it’s fairly common. The advice I received from the doctor was to clean it with cooled boiled water and cotton wool. Wipe from the inner eye outwards, with a clean cotton swab after each wipe. It took a few days to clear 😊 If it doesn’t clear up or you’re worried theres no harm in seeking further advice x

My daughter's eye was like this when she was around 10 days old. We just cleaned it with cooled boiled water and cotton pads and it cleared up within a day or two!

My doughter had this.. they told me to put some breast milk in her eyes. It was a blocked tear ducked. There was nothing we could do about it. She did have it for quite a long time but e eventually it stoped. But of course if you are very concerned and want piece of mind ask for medical advice xx

I got told boob milk helps as well as a damp face cloth wiping away from the eye

My daughter had this as a newborn. A warm wet muslin cloth compress with a bit of colostrum on it cleared it right up! Do a few min morning and night for a few days

My son is 2 now but he had this as a newborn too. At the time I brought him to get it checked and the Dr said it’s very common and will clear up on its own, which it did xx

C-Section Mums

Hello mums ❤️

I’m 3 months plus postpartum, and I had my baby through a C-section.

My concern is that my lower tummy is still hanging over my C-section scar. It’s not that I look pregnant, but I have this tummy pouch that is really bothering me.

I’ve spoken to my GP, and they reassured me that everything is fine and that it should improve with time. They also advised me to try some gentle exercises.

Please, mums who experienced this after a C-section, did your tummy eventually go down? What helped you? Are there any safe exercises you would recommend?

I’d really appreciate your experiences and advice. Thank you, mums. ❤️

Cyclizine Hydrochloride

Hi guys! Ive been suffering with really bad sickness even now at 17 weeks. Has anyone tried cyclizine for sickness and were the side effects bad? On the leaflet it does say not suitable for pregnant women but my dr has prescribed this to me

Induction

Induction booked for 40+9 which is 2 days away. I would have preferred to go into labour naturally but baby isn’t even engaged at this point and I’m really really done with being pregnant and uncomfortable.

Looking for success stories of people who have had inductions booked and then gone into labour naturally the day before? 😂

Or just any advice or encouragement as I’m a little disheartened that I probably won’t get my water birth now with being induced as I have read that people struggle with the hormone drip contractions so I am more likely to need/want an epidural or continuous monitoring 😪

Anyone else in the same boat?

I keep seeing posts/tiktoks/instagram reels saying late November babies are being born early like now early and for the last few days my braxton hicks have been terrible. I think I’m also leaking my mucus plug but not sure.

Sweep Success

Had a sweep yesterday at 9:45am, was told I was 1cm dilated and cervix was soft. I’ve since had an increase in mucus, just want to know people’s stories about sweep and their success! I had a bishops score of 4! I have another one booked for Friday 🤞🏼
