C-Section Mums

Hello mums ❤️

I’m 3 months plus postpartum, and I had my baby through a C-section.

My concern is that my lower tummy is still hanging over my C-section scar. It’s not that I look pregnant, but I have this tummy pouch that is really bothering me.

I’ve spoken to my GP, and they reassured me that everything is fine and that it should improve with time. They also advised me to try some gentle exercises.

Please, mums who experienced this after a C-section, did your tummy eventually go down? What helped you? Are there any safe exercises you would recommend?

I’d really appreciate your experiences and advice. Thank you, mums. ❤️

This is really common due to them cutting through the stomach muscle to deliver your baby so please don’t worry. Lower ab exercises are fantastic for this though & usually the types of exercises you really want to do to improve the area you’re unhappy with. Search on TikTok for “c section stomach workout” you’ll see videos with exercises like straight leg drops, toe taps, standing marches etc. Just make sure to get the thumbs up from your GP to be able to do these exercises as I had my c-section almost 3 years ago and can’t remember when I got the thumbs up to do exercises like these. Don’t be too hard on yourself & give yourself time, three months is no time at all ☺️

I've heard massaging the skin/scar can also really help, just with some basic small circular movements.
You should be able to find some videos online :)

Big baby

Has anyone else had any growth scans and been told their baby is measuring large? I am 32.4 weeks and baby 85th percentile but the head and abdomen were measuring in the 90s...

Hi guys! Ive been suffering with really bad sickness even now at 17 weeks. Has anyone tried cyclizine for sickness and were the side effects bad? On the leaflet it does say not suitable for pregnant women but my dr has prescribed this to me
