elective c-section

Hi, I have an elective caesarean booked for middle of March at James Cook University Hospital and I’d like to get my nails done (short French tip acrylics) and my lashes done , I’ve seen people have their lashes and nails done but I’d thought I’d ask on here as my consultant and midwife haven’t mentioned anything to me x

My midwife said eyelashes and makeup is ok she said she saw someone with fake tan go and have a C-section before, but with nails it’s best not to as they need to put that finger monitor on and it might not be accurate xx

I have a elective c section booked for the 3rd. Last time i had an emergency in 2019 and they made me take my nail polish off before going into theatre so i would assume its not ideal x

Seeking reassurance - pregnant after c-section

Hello,
I think i'm pregnant. I have missed a period and a faint line on pregnancy test. I'm going to take another test and get an early scan etc to be sure.

The issue is that I am 7months post c-section. This was not planned and I feel so bad. If i am pregnant, i dont want to lose this baby and i'm so terrified of the risks involved with getting pregnant so soon after c-section.

Is there anyone who can share a positive story where they got pregnant after c-section and all was ok? I'm so scared. 😢

Do you care if your baby names are trendy amd not unique?

I have always loved nature based names, but now I'm finally about to become a mum, my chosen names are becoming so popular!

Here are my top names, but we are also considering them for first and middle names.

Emergency c section

How long after did you apply the silicone scar strips over the c section? I’m 3 weeks PP now and I’m wondering if there is anything else I can do to help it?

How is everyone?

How is everyone doing now we're getting to the final weeks or days for some?

For me the heartburn and indigestion is unbearable. But I think the part I find worse is the restless legs which have cranked up 10 notches! I'm exhausted but I just can't sleep for it. Anyone else?

I've also had a couple of episodes of sickness and diarrhoea in the last two weeks, never had that with my first two.

Just feeling very ready to have baby rather than bump.

How is everyone else doing?

Labor signs?

Did you notice any signs or anything before labor started?

I’m 39 weeks and a day and I’ve had the runs with everything I eat and felt a bit sick yesterday. Really hoping things kick off naturally and I don’t need to be induced. I’m a first time mom so not a clue what to expect.

I feel like I’ve been losing my mucus plug for weeks so don’t think that will be a sign unless it becomes a bit bloody.

Is it right that your waters don’t have to go first and you can just start with contractions?

Help

I need to know if this is normal or something to worry about - I had a normal birth yesterday morning and keep finding myself wetting myself without being able to stop… like I’ve lost control of my bladder. Everything’s very sensitive down there, is this a little normal?
