Seeking reassurance - pregnant after c-section

Hello,
I think i'm pregnant. I have missed a period and a faint line on pregnancy test. I'm going to take another test and get an early scan etc to be sure.

The issue is that I am 7months post c-section. This was not planned and I feel so bad. If i am pregnant, i dont want to lose this baby and i'm so terrified of the risks involved with getting pregnant so soon after c-section.

Is there anyone who can share a positive story where they got pregnant after c-section and all was ok? I'm so scared. 😢

hi, i don't have a positive story or a negative but i'm in a similar situation i'm just 1yr PP. i've been anxious too but i know so many people have baby's so close together all the time and they recommend the wait for the next pregnancy due to the healing process as everyone is different, & some heal much quicker than others !
how do you feel you have healed? you'll be ok just talk to a professional x

It’s a recommendation for healing purposes but you and many others can go on to have uneventful pregnancies. many people do get pregnant prior to 12 months pp.
my sister in law had my first 2 nephews practically back to back both c-section and was well throughout.

The midwives and doctors at the hospital will monitor you closely due to you having a C-section 7 months prior. They can advice you better than anyone. Just don't panic. They tell you to wait 12-18 months before getting pregnant after C-section but these things happen more often than you think

Can't speak from personal experience but there is a 21month and 14month gap between my siblings and they were all born by csection in the early 90s without issue 🤷🏽‍♀️

I know so many mothers they were pregnant within 6 months pp after c section and everything was okay and healthy no isssues, I know nhs recommend to wait 1 1/2 year but this is for them as well to be more than 💯 safe. Don’t worry too much there is not much to do right now and if you do you are putting baby under stress as well and making it worse for yourself and I wish you a wonderful and healthy pregnancy and birth ! 🫶☺️

I fell pregnant at 11m post c section and had a VBAC afterwards! They will most likely just want you to have another c section with it being so soon after but it will be fine I promise x

Hi i got pregnant 6 months pp after c section and i had a perfectly healthy pregnancy and had another c section in june, i had to have a couple of extra scans and i was advised to have a c section again and everything went very well i had to have a couple of extra stitches on my wound and it took maybe a week longer to heal than the last c section but everything was fine i wouldnt worry :)

Constant contractions but no dilation progress

Im so miserable....
Im 38+4 and have had constant contractions since Wednesday evening , so about 45 hours now but im still only 2 cm dilated. I actually have a very high pain tolerance as I have multipul conditions that cause pain so basically have to be able to function through pain daily. But this has been horrendous

I went into MAC really early hours of thursday morning because my contractions were every 3 mins and really painful. But after monitoring and checking, only 2cm they sent me home. Contractions carried on getting icreasing painful they dying off so they were not just as strong for a little while before ramping up again.
Saw my regular midwife on friday, who checked again. Still 2 cm but she managed to do a sweep.

Everything continued contractions wise. Paracetamol wasn't touching the pain at all. Then got back to every 4 mins but so painful I couldn't talk through them. So again back to hospital, they did checks still 2cm. Stayed 10 hours! And again still 2cm. Im loosing alot of mucus but cervics just isn't changing.

So I was discharged with codeine and the plan that I'll be on the induction list by monday if baby still hasn't arrived.

Im absolutely fucking miserable now. Before all this I'd had 3 weeks of braxton hicks like clockwork every evening lasting about 5 hours a day.

When I had my daughter 4 years ago Everything just progressed fairly quickly and I was only in labour just under 30 hours start to finish with only a small amount of gas and air. Everything is so stop start its exhausting. My back pain is just chronic and nothing is touching it at all. I really didn't want a induction but physically and mentally im abousutly broken now....

My daughter only knows mummy's feeling poorly, and insisted on giving me her lovey heart on Wednesday, since tgen shes insisted I keep it in my hand if I put it down even just to eat and she sees she walks over and puts it back in my hand. She got very upset having to leave me today when I went to hospital and I offered her it back to hold she insisted I keep it in my hand. 😭

Bleeding postpartum

6 days pp now and still bleeding quite heavily. I had an elective C-section on Monday. I'm not sure if it's because it's my second time.. last time I only bled for a couple of days. When did your bleeding stop?

c-section pooch

i’ve been seeing a lot of post about this saying diet and some sort of exercise will help. granted I am fairly young (23) have only had three kids in the last three years last 2 being cesareans when i say diet and exercise WILL NOT help i mean it. it is skin and fluid lymphatic massages are one of the only way to help decrease the pouch I have zero pouch and a flat stomach. I am four months postpartum w my 3rd baby and second C-section. i rlly Hope this helps on struggling that is maybe almost starving themselves trying to get it to go away.🩷(photo for proof?)
