I’m at my wits end and desperately seeking help from mums/carers that have experienced what I am going through now.
My daughter is such a poor drinker and it’s stressing me out beyond belief, it’s consuming my days and waking me at night thinking about it. She is 7 months old and only drinks 2/3oz at a time, and will push the bottle away if I offer too soon! Doesn’t show hunger cues, it’s just a guessing game. She is on prescribed milk for CMPA but I don’t think this has anything to do with it. Under dietitian that just sit and say “well she should be on X amount of milk, keep offering frequently” but nothing else. She’s tiny, but hitting milestones. Yesterday she had 12oz in the whole day, this can’t be normal? In fact I know it’s not normal.
Just to add, she is very good with solids but on minimal (a few spoons of homemade puree/single finger foods) as don’t want to fill her up on solids and her take even less milk. Always has milk before solids also.
What do I do😣

At this point id just give her more solids if she is going to eat them.
Have you tried a different formula? Maybe she just hates the one youve got her on.

Hey, first so sorry your going through this it sounds so stressful but sounds as though your doing everything you can so well done you mama.
I would also agree and increase solids if she wants and takes. Babies wouldn’t inherently starve themselves so if she developing and has good nappy output (not dehydrated) then sounds good. If she’s also following the same growth curve then also shouldn’t be too concerning.
My son was a preemie and very small for very long but followed the same curve and developed well and also breastfed so no idea how much milk he took. Your doing great keep going xx

Hi! My first was, and still is, a terrible eater! He’s 2-1/2 now but has been this way from the day he was born. I read your post and can tell you, I truly feel you. The anxiety is unreal when your baby wont eat.
With mine, I realized around 5 months that I had inadvertently caused a bottle aversion because I was so hyper fixated on an imaginary ounce goal (he was a preemie and one of the criteria for being able to leave the NICU was being able to eat some amount of ounces in a day, so it was pushed on us early on to “enforce” drinking a certain amount).
I came upon Rowena Bennett’s book about bottle aversion and followed the program and it changed our lives. It was very hard and stressful but I’m so, so glad I found her book!!! Highly recommend in your situation.

Do you think she would tolerate a bigger nipple size on bottle? If she can tolerate a heavier flow nipple, that may be one way to get her to take more of her bottle 🤷♀️.
My little boy will be 10 months old when he starts nursery, he currently needs holding/cuddling to fall asleep then I can place him down in his cot to nap once’s he’s fell asleep. He won’t settle on his own it just results in him screaming crying. But I’m worried about when he starts nursery, will the staff there do the same at nap time or will he expected to self settle himself to sleep?

My 3.5yo son is normally very loud when he's in a park, soft play, family friendly holidays. Sometimes a bit too loud and doesn't understand some kids aren't reciprocating it. But I received his nursery report today and they say he's shy and likes to play alone. So I don't get it. He does in 2 days a week. Is this normal?

Let’s talk milestones! I am quite anxious about mine and generally I hate teething late and walking late is pretty common, or the new normal!

My son is almost 3 months old and isn't peeing at night. He slept 5 and a half hours and barely had a wet diaper. He pees normally during the day, just worried about nights.

Yesterday, I found out my boyfriend was not only mine, but someone else’s. I’m pregnant and so is she. Has anyone else been through this? I literally feel like I’m dying & am scared of the amount of stress all this crying is causing. How do I possible get through this being 5 months ? 🙃

My 6 week old is very sleepy (and has been since birth). She has periods of being very alert during the day, but once I put her down for the night at 7pm I struggle to wake her for longer than a 5 minute feed until 7am despite the usual methods (nappy change, wet wipe, taking off a layer). I always try to wake her to feed after 4 hours, otherwise I expect she may sleep for a very long stretch without eating. She is gaining weight but went down a bit in percentile the last two weeks (from 42% to 33%). Does anyone else have this experience and any advice? I am obviously very lucky she is a good sleeper but I am also focused on ensuring she eats enough which is challenging if she is in deep sleep for 12 hours a day!
